Description

Barbara Shady is a former ballet dancer who does contemporary dance now and teaches different dance genres when she is not modeling. Fortunately she is modeling, too. Since I saw her works for the first time I wanted to photograph with her and now I had the chance on a workshop. It was organized by Spektrum Fotó Kft and led by Sándor Benkő, a visual artist and photographer who gives lectures in several universities both in Germany and in Hungary. He did the lights, Barbara did the poses and it was an interesting flow as I asked for one and she followed it with another, and so on. She's good.

She also performed a short dance choreography and as it differed for all of us, shooting during this workshop, I tried to steal some time and shoot images by using the flash head's modelling lights. This image is a result of such a trial shot and while it is technically far from being good, her look and smile during such a jump captured me. She is really disciplined dancer, model, and I think she really enjoyed this session. (All of us were experienced photographers even if different levels.)
