You can hate or love it.ΒI do love it. Rejon are the most beautiful mythological representation of a Battle in an Arena looking like a Ballet.

The timing is great and the lighting feels just right with the way the shadows are cast. I like how you have captured it just as the bull almost hits the horse. It feels like we're left in anticipation regarding whether the bull actually makes impact or not.

I like the composition. Head on the form of the horse and the matador are obscured, yet the shadow reveals it. In the same way the form of the bull is shown as it is and its shadow has an obscured shape. If you take bullfighting to be about a man facing death manifested by a bull - then maybe this picture shows how life (like the bull fighter you've captured) is like a shadow and death is always chasing us. Nicely shot

The quality and the Photo itself-the flow of the bull and the torero - are well photographed,but it is no Sport it is what it is - cruelty to animals!!

I would not call this a sport.
Early of the 20th century, in Spain, that Corrida stuff was the way for villages from their matador to earn money in order to survive and live.
After that, more contemporarily, it happened it became more "commercial" and quite sometimes badly practised.
Though some lil places keep maintaining a recall of the true meaning of "bullfighting". I've witnessed one day a bull being set free end of the fight cause he was judged having fighted in a wonderful way. The bull is still living

I guess "beauty" can be found in many places and events...?
I would say i totally understand your point of view. I mean: mostly nowadays it has been achieved roughly and badly, commercially and not in many cases done regarding from where it comes from.
It's an ancient traditional practise. It was made from Spanish way of living early in the 20th century. It had a very special meaning.
I guess it's important still to appreciate an event into all its meaning and understanding.Β

Well. It's a good question.
I guess it comes from my spanish origins.
Also that i was introduced to this "rightly" in a place where it's really done in the former primary way it was ever done from the start of the 20th century.
I understand it can't be bearable to many people, still. I really think it's an amazing thing.
