Description Here is a simple tutorial on making the owl - sock doll.
I find it's easy to make even for a beginner.
I didn't go on details on the sewing part, eg: what kind of stitch, how to sew etc. Just use simple stitch to sew.
Anyway, if someone need to know more details on certain part, just give me a note.

If someone has used this tutorial and make out something, please let me know, I want to see the result.

Enjoy and try it out~
(My very first tutorial.... )

Latest News:-
Yes! I have made a site and will be putting all my sock doll tutorials there. So far I have only two tutorials... but will slowly make more and up put to the site. I am thinking to put more things on the site too, a gallery of my sock dolls, selling my sock dolls etc.
Feel free to take a look and leave me some suggestions or comments if possible. Many many thanks~

httpecho In reply to EmoBunnyLord [2010-07-17 06:12:56 +0000 UTC]

That's easy.
I just cut the top part of the sock and sew the both side, of course don't forget to stuff it with cotton. Then sew the head on it.

I'll have to steal a sock from my nephew's drawer!

Any chance that you have a tutorial on how to steal socks without being noticed?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

httpecho In reply to Little-Vampire [2010-03-29 07:26:55 +0000 UTC]

Hmm....
Stealing is no good... so just tell them you are going to take a sock from them. Better take two, leave the other one there will be waste.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Little-Vampire In reply to httpecho [2010-03-29 16:20:36 +0000 UTC]

Yeah it's better to take two cause if I leave one the person will go on seeking for the other sock forever!

Blackangel445 In reply to ??? [2009-04-06 23:33:55 +0000 UTC]

does it matter what size of a sock you use: an adult sock, kids sock, baby sock?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

httpecho In reply to Blackangel445 [2009-04-06 23:47:10 +0000 UTC]

oh yes.
an adult sock can make a bigger doll, about 11 inches tall. for kid sock will be smaller, baby sock is for cute little dolls.
I used adult socks for my girl dolls and baby socks for the kitty, doggy and owl dolls.

Sorry.
If you have anythings dont understand on the tutorial, you can always ask me.
My tutorial is really simply as it's for those who have the basic knowledge on sewing.
(sorry for my poor English too.... )
