When someone dies in Keldell, their body is burned due to the constant freeze making burial impossible. It is the belief that the deceased's soul departs on the night of the firs aurora borealis, and the dancing lights are the final good bye of all those we've lost. As a result the winter Eladrin of Keldell throw a huge festival, and the families of the deceased release the ashes of their loved onto into the sky in paper lanterns, one final reunion of body and soul.
