The red thing in the middle is a shrine of some kind. The girl is a ghost and the guy is her still alive lover. That's as close as they can come to seeing each other from beyond the grave.

its from a digital sketch 99% of the time. I think this one actually started out as an old oekaki sketch I had lying around.

You do a very good job on making a calm scenery even though there's ghosts.
Calms and ghosts are very hard to put together without making it creepy.
