Description 'OOOh that smarts!'
Grimwulg spun as he heard his comrade cry out...but it was too late... TOO LATE DAMMIT!!!

Ok, visitors to my page may get a feeling of deja vu. This is actually a reworking of my last piece 'K.O' , which kinda sucked on several levels and is now banished to my scraps section. I don't usually go back to a piece once I feel it is finished. However, I felt on this occassion that I might be able to rescue something with this reimagining of the characters.

All done in Photoshop 7.

I use Photoshop 7, so its digital. But I use custom brushes to try and make it look more like a traditional painting.

It's getting better.
You ought to paint them both blue and call it a scene from Braveheart.
Something about the guy's new hair brought that on

LOL I did actually experiment with some woad body paint. Because I thought the two guys looked so different it would be a way of showing they were on the same side.

Nice!! This time, it all gives a much better feeling of a quick-paced action scene, and a more interesting tone in the pic (especially with the expression in the warriors' faces, it worked perfectly!).

Aha!

Clever... clever.... yesssss.....

Don't think I would have thought to make them completely different characters, using a completely different method of fighting - that must have taken some work!

Nice one.

Innitialy I toyed with the idea of doing it like this (the guys having swords and all that) when I noticed that the punching guys pose wasn't quite right. But I thought I might be able to ge away with it being a fist fight. However, a lot of other people also noticed the mistake. Which makes me think I really should trust my hunches more in future.

very nice rework indeed
The detail on the buckles, bracer, and sword hilts is great
also love the way you did the leather, fur and hair
and nice job on the steel work
keep up the great work
The expression on the guys face ..says it all...... Bloodly Nora..that's got hurt

When in doubt I always add a couple of swords and a heavy metal hairdo

Ooh, nice remake.

A little blood and this piece would be perfect!

I did add some then took it away as the image is showing the very moment the guy in the foreground is hit. Arrows tend to make quite clean impacts.
