Description Lineback Overo - nO- - Lineback Overo is based on a gene found in longhorn cattle. This gene has an effect similar to overo, as it's located on the Overo locust. This mutation can come in a minimal form where there is under 25% of the horse with white pattern or can be pretty maximum where it's like a small bit of color through the middle of the horse. Much like the cattle gene, the color is focused on the center of the horse and moves outward, almost a reverse of how overo works. They can have very smooth edges like splash or be very mottled like sabino. This mutation does affect the mane and tail color but does NOT affect muzzle, leg, or eye color. This can be seen on any base (including the mutation dilutions) and override all other paint and appaloosa genes. This means if lineback is there, all others will be hidden except for minimal facial markings.
