GENERAL OVERVIEWDeer are a prey animal commonly found in thick woody forests and grassy valleys. Intelligent yet flighty animals, they travel in herds for safety. They are a steady, fairly easy to hunt food source for many wargs across Hvalla.
BEHAVIOR and APPEARANCEDeer are herd animals usually led by one, mature male stag with two to three or more does. Stag bachelor herds of males without mates often form in late winter and stay together well past the breeding season. Sometimes herds can join together for safety and make massive sprawling herds that trawl the great plains and forests for food. Deer have elongated, delicate necks, bright, inquisitive eyes with large ears. Their legs are long and thin, ending in small cloven hooves and their tails are teardrop shaped and fluffy white. They are large creatures and generally stand 4ft at the shoulder for does and up to 5ft at the shoulder for stags.
WEAKNESSESDeer are more prey than creatures to defeat. One deer is easily hunted down by a single warg and a whole herd makes a tasty meal for a hunting party. Deer are particularly weak in the legs and if a leg is injured you have won the meal.
