Guiding Lights of Jord

GENERAL OVERVIEWWisps are mysterious elementals of fire. Small enough to fit in a warg’s paws, their ghostly blue flames give off an eerie glow. They appear to travel in groups and have only been seen at night; lost wargs report the wisps guiding them to safety by lining forest paths with their light. Considered to be spirits of the old forests, Wisps are a sacred sight for all wargs. Their presence is rare but cultivated into a blessed occurrence, leaving the small balls of light to live in peace.

Shy in nature, they are rather mysterious in what their function is. Many rumor the beings to be lost spirits of travelers, helping those who wander into unknown woods find their way out. Others suspect that the fiery balls are the remnants of when the gods lived on the mortal plane.

Considered a guardian in the night, elder wargs will preach stories of Wisps that will lead pups who’ve ran astray back to their home, but only if they’ve proven to be good at heart.

BEHAVIOR and APPEARANCEAn ethereal glowing orb of fire, radiating a blue light in the shadows and appearing nearly white in the light. To the touch, their fiery appearance does not translate as they emit no heat nor effect to any goer who touches them.

They are neither friendly nor aggressive, seemingly hiding within the dark of the forests shyly. They provide an eerie light for the traveling warg, and a path if one so chooses to follow them.

WEAKNESSESCannot be attacked or killed. If ran through, however, they will evaporate only to reappear nearby.

The warg depicted is representative of the max height for the race.
