As the OWLF began to learn more about Yautja technology, they began to use it, such as experimenting with Dutch, succeeding in not only saving his life, but also allowing him to continue the fight longer. Direct energy weapons are also another advancement they mastered. The OWLF developed at least 2 weapons designed to be such weapons, the Pit Bull, which was likely a lower-grade of plasma weapon. Then there's this, the prototype capable of full auto fire and comes with a variety of attachments. The weapon doesn't need a clip replacement after being expended, rather needs to release the excess gas before being reloaded. The magazine is 25 rounds, but it's possible to enhance it further.

What I like to note is that the use of the plasmacaster as a magazine is actually kind of funny, but also works well with the overall design of the weapon in general.
