No that is not Gale, as you can see. It does look like him though. That is Jeremiah, his necromancer son.In Jeremiah's story, his friend is killed by someone and he summons all his necromancer powers to get his revenge. But he is balancing unstably on the edge of becoming exactly what he is fighting. His other friends have to knock some sense into him before he falls.
Anyway, this pic is right after his friend is killed. He tries to summon a skeleton to fight the bad guy off, but it unsuccessful.

Why summon a skeleton? There are loads of better things to summon. You can just disassemble a skeleton; zombies, on the other hand, have flesh.
