Description
--Neshae was with him, holding him, protecting him. He was merely a child then, incapable of defending himself. He and his father had been sucked into that portal to the Soul World where spirits are created. Gale had been the one the fire monster had intended to kill. Neshae had only gotten involved because he grabbed Gale to save him in the last instant. Now they were both stuck there until they figured a way out.

Gale clung to his father in terror. The demon got ever closer. Neshae backed away, unsure of what to do. As powerful as he was, he could not do much against fire.

Just when time was about out for the two, Neshae suddenly spun around, putting Gale on the ground in front of him and the Fire Blade beside him.

"Hole on, kid." Neshae said and brought his wings around Gale protectively. Gale clung to his father's shirt and closed his eyes.

Neshae held Gale to him, protecting him from what was going to happen as best as he could. Then his wings began to glow with red swirls and patterns and the Fire Blade erupted in a shield of inferno, keeping the demon at bay.--

A story about Neshae and Gale that's about half baked. Haven't put much thought into it, actually. But anyway, the spirits figure out that Gale's son, Jeremiah, is going to be a powerful necromancer that strays to the evil side. So to keep this from happening, they try to kill Gale when he is little before he has the chance to reproduce.

Just before the spirits kidnap Gale, Neshae grabs him to save him and he ends up being brought to that world as well. Then the two have to figure out how to stay alive and get out. This is where Gale discovers he has materialization powers.
