Description Yes I know this is an old image, but I can't upload any new ones right now. -_- And now that I found a theme song for Raahn I wanna make his char sheet.

Background: One of the few survivors that escaped when Dark destroyed Rayman's planet, Raahn's mother and those with her landed on the same planet that Rayman and Neshae now live on. They kept their existence secret by forming a civilization within a valley surrounded by dangerous mountains. It was after their numbers increased slightly that they ventured outside their valley home and faced the new planet. It was because of the incident involving Raahn's mother that drove them to do this.

Raahn's mom was the first to explore beyond the valley. She returned miraculously, having lost a good deal of her memory. She also turned out to be pregnant even though she had been a virgin before she left.

Raahn grew up slightly isolated since most of the children were scared by his appearence. Also because he grew a lot faster than the rest of them. And when bullies started picking fights with him he learned how to fight. He decided that if you wanted anything in this world, you had to fight to get it so he did a lot of fighting.

Raahn realized at an early age that at his age rate he would not live very long, so he set out to find immortality. One option had been becoming a vampire, but after being attacked by one he decided against that option and gained an intense hatred for vampires. But on the bright side, in winning that battle he got his axe, which is his primary weapon in battle.

Next option to try was using the energy of the Heart of the World. At first it worked. He gained immortality but the power corrupted him. After being defeated by Neshae, Dreyfus, Matthew, Dash, and Skittles, he lost most of his power, but not all of his corruption or immortality.

But the immortality from the Heart would not last forever. Raahn knew that it would wear off eventually and began looking for another source of immortality before it did. Without any luck, he returned home to the valley.

Years later, he met Berlinda and the two became good friends. He even fell in love with her.

It was long after that when a stranger stumbled into the valley and told about the Shell of Makreen. He had with him a strange key to Makreen's tomb, which he gave to a half-vampire named Vampie. Raahn tricked Vampie into going to Makreen's tomb, telling her that the village wasn't going to last long and they were going extinct, so she could retrieve the shell. What he didn't expect was for her to meet Damien and Gale, two vampires who were also after the shell. Vampie got the shell first and went back to the valley, followed by Damien and Gale. And before the cursed shell was destroyed, Raahn managed to gain immortality, but not invincibility.

Personality: Raahn is the strong silent type. He doesn't really have any friends after growing up isolated. He fights to get what he wants and rarely ever does anything for someone else unless he gets something out of it. He is neither good nor evil, but neutral so he can be either on the good side or evil at any time. And he hates vampires.

Strenghts:
He can fly
His tail has barbs and constricting abilities, causing a painful squeeze
There are sharpened spikes on the end of his tail that can be used when his axe is out of reach
He has three spikes on his back that hang limp normally, but stick out and ooze venom when he is angry or fighting
His feathers can be very ticklish
He knows how to use that axe

Weaknesses:
He can't swim
He can't see in the dark
His ears are sensitive to high pitched noises

Favorite Food: Anything spicy
Best Friend: Berlinda (up until he tries to kill Gale)
Theme Song: "A Dangerous Mind" by Within Temptation
Favorite Things To Do: hang out with Berlinda, fly, fight with his axe, lash out with his tail, eat more spicy things than anyone else

Are vampires ALL he hates?

I don't remember seeing this, but it reminds me of something I've been meaning to tell you. You've got the skill to draw the characters, now make them believable. I think it is time for you to start looking into adding Perception to your images. Otherwise, they just look flat like this one. Like, compare Medieval art to Renaissance art.

It's supposed to be falt. o_0 It's 2D. And if I wanted to make my characters believable like that I'd give the limbed ones noses and ears and the limbless ones limbs and so on.

Well, art is more pleasant to look at if it is drawn in 3-D. Take my art, or Raygirl's, example.

I like your art and Raygirl's, but I like drawing in my style. ^_^

I'm not saying don't drop your style. What I'm saying is... Well, I know this is an old picture, but let's use it as an example. As you can see, Raahn's tail is the same size at its base as it is when it comes in front of him. When something comes closer, it gets bigger. Also, his feet are the same size. Unless the foot on the left is closer than the one on the right, the one on the right should be bigger. Also, the wings are facing forward, when Raahn is not. The only wing we should be seeing in the way it is drawn is the one on the right. The other one should be at an angle. It isn't a matter of style; these are the things you get taught no matter what your style.
