Description
Chapter 4It was almost Christmas Eve when the group heard the sound of some kind of factory. They followed the sound, hoping to find Neshae, and came to a door. Rayman pushed it open and looked inside.
Machines were turning robots into toy soldiers, trucks, anything that a robot could be turned into. Thankfully, Shadow Santa hadn’t gotten to make stuffed animals yet. In the middle of the room, checking the progress, was Shadow Santa.
He turned around as the group came in. “Ah, there you are! I no longer need elves. But you” he gestured to Dreyfus, “would make a fine reindeer. I shall call you Rudolf.”
“I’m not Rudolph.” Dreyfus said. “And you spelled it wrong anyway.”
“Does it matter?” Shadow Santa asked. “It sounds the same. Now come on and hook up to the sleigh before I make a stuffed animal out of you like I will those people with you.”
“Neshae, snap out of it.” Rayman said.
“I told you I’m not Neshae!” Shadow Santa said. He is gone and you will never have him back. I have complete control.”
“The HELL you do!” Rayman wound up his fist.
“Rayman No!” Ly said. “You’ll hurt Neshae.”
Rayman wound down his fist. She was right.
“You bore me. HENCHMEN!” Shadow Santa called. Several toy soldiers taller than Neshae, came from the shadows. “Take them to the stuffing section. I’ll make my own reindeer.”
The group tried to fight the toy soldiers, but they seemed to be protected by some kind of spell, the protection magic that Neshae had and rarely ever used. When the battle was over, most of them had been captured by robots and were being headed off to the stuffing section. Dreyfus, however, escaped.
“I don’t care who you think you are!” Dreyfus called after the vampire.
Shadow Santa spun around, surprised that the werefoxdeer wasn’t stuffed yet.
“But Neshae is coming back. He’s stronger than you.” Dreyfus continued.
Shadow Santa approached him. “That is where you are wrong. Don’t you think if he WAS strong enough, he would have conquered me by now?”
“He can.” Dreyfus smiled. “All I gotta do is wake him up.”
When the connection between Dreyfus and Neshae was sparked, Shadow Santa collapsed to the ground, unconscious.
Neshae woke up in a dark place. The floor was illuminated, in tiles of maroon and dark green. Only the tiles, him, and the figure on the floor in front of him were illuminated.
The figure was a shadowy person. He was huge, limbed, and wore a shadowy Santa hat. Instead of fingers, his shadowy hands had claws.
“So you wish to fight me, do you?” the Shadow Santa challenged. “Go ahead and try to take your body back!”
