Chapter 7

Neshae stood still and didn’t even blink as Shadow Santa stuck an arm through him.  Nothing had happened.  Shadow Santa pulled his arm out in surprise.

“What did I tell ya?” Neshae asked.  “Not even real.”

With a cry of agony, Shadow Santa faded away.  Neshae was suddenly dizzy.  The world went black and his head spun.

When he opened his eyes he was slung over the shoulder of a robo pirate.  Not a good place to be.  He wound up his fist like Rayman did when fighting and punched the head off the pirate carrying him.  The robot fell to the ground and Neshae got up in time to dodge a magic bullet coming from a second pirate.  One good punch killed that one too.

Faster than Razorbeard could react, the vampire picked him up and slammed him against the wall.

“Where is my sword?” he asked.

Instead of talking, Razorbeard answered with a kick to Neshae’s stomach.  Neshae swore and let go of Razorbeard, who ran through a door.  Neshae recovered and followed him.

Razorbeard had gotten in a turret and had the cannon aimed at him.  He shot a massive cannon ball at Neshae, who rolled out of the way.

“Neshae!  There you are!” said a voice from the doorway.  Neshae saw Rayman and the others come in.

“Look out!” Neshae cried as Razorbeard aimed the cannon at them.

Let me out.  Said a voice in Neshae’s head.  It wasn’t one of the usual voices in his head, but one that sounded like Shadow Santa.

Why?  Neshae asked.

Because I can fight him.  It answered.

Whatever. Neshae snorted and flew towards the robot in the turret.  The cannon turned and aimed at him once again.

He suddenly suffered violent shaking.

“Wake up!” Dreyfus was saying excitedly.  Neshae had fallen asleep in a chair.  The whole thing had been a dream.

Dreyfus, Rayman, Ly, Globox, Alaesia, and Dorithmir were there and Rayman started taking gifts from under the tree.
