Chapter 10“Neshae?” said a familiar voice.
“Shh.” Said Giovanni’s voice. “He looks like he’s asleep. He must have gotten worn out. That explains why he never made it to swimming with you.”
Neshae sat up. “Wha?” he asked groggily. “I didn’t fall asleep…I was…a witch…”
“What happened?” Dreyfus asked.
“Somebody captured me, then told me a story about our ancestors knowing each other, then brought me back here.” He looked over the edge of the bed, then happily picked up the once again moved barrel of cheesey poofs.
“The same thing happened to me!” Dreyfus said.
“My chick said there’s a very close danger on our tails. So we have to get out of here soon.” Neshea said through a mouthful of cheesey poofs. Then he noticed Giovanni standing there with donuts and hot chocolate.
“Donuts anyone?” Giovanni offered.
Neshae reached over and grabbed a chocolate cream filled donut while Dreyfus got the kind he liked. After they had eaten, everyone picked a bed and slept.
He was not himself. He was someone else. He was still limbless, but he was not a vampire anymore.
A woman appeared through the trees. She had fox like features and antlers like Dreyfus’s. In her hands, she was carrying something that gave off a magical aura. It was wrapped in a cloth.
She stumbled through the trees. She looked exhausted, like she had been running all night. She literally ran into him.
“Excuse me.” She said.
“Are you okay?” he asked.
She looked up at him. “You can’t help me. No one can.”
“Try me.”
“I am being chased.” She said. “And cursed. You cannot help me.”
“You judge too quickly.” He said. “I have some shelter not far from here. And you look like you could use some rest. As for curses, they are only what you make of them. You can turn it into a gift if you try hard enough.”
Finally, she let him take her to the inn he was staying at. She slept there and he kept watch over her.
When Neshae woke. It was time to get going. They left the hotel and continued their journey into the mountains, searching for the dragon who had a fake egg.

You were a witch?
...female deers (does) don't have antlers. But yeah, for the Aracnum section, we could definately delve deeper into their history. Although Ann is sorta...distant in personality. Sort of like Sophie from Howl's Moving Castle.

A witch? What?
And it was a dream. I just put the antlers on there to show Neshae a little better that she was Dreyfus's ancestor. She won't have antlers in the next dream.
