Chapter 30Dreyfus chopped at one of the tentacles, making the beast give another high pitched shriek. Giovanni flew at him and caught him in mid air. He was about to take a bite out of the boy’s shoulder when Neshae landed on his back and but the back of his neck. Giovanni cried out, letting Dreyfus go and threw the vampire off of him.
“I’ve had enough of you two!” Giovanni screamed. He flew closer to Neshae. “Together, you are strong, but when apart, you are weak! I think I’ll try a taste of you first!”
Neshae tried to fly away, but was caught by one of the flaming tentacles. He cried out as Giovanni began to reel him in.
Dreyfus took a swing at Giovanni, but the Aeaunce swerved out of the way.
Despite the pain, Neshae forced himself to grab Giovanni’s shoulders and, although the pain was intense, pulled his wings free. He held Giovanni still as best as he could.
“Stab him!” Neshae told Dreyfus. Giovanni’s mouth opened wide and his neck stretched to reach the vampire. “Stab him now!”
