I think I redid this painting about four times before I was anywhere near happy with it. Originally, it was just going to be Sokka looking up at the moon, then I randomly added Toph, then I hated their poses so I erased them completely, then I hated the background so I painted over that, then I tried to paint a cliff but it looked too much like a penis so I ditched that, then I decided to add Suki...

I think I'm okay with it now.

I titled it after the song "Cosmic Love" by Florence + The Machine only because it happened to be the song that I was listening to while finishing this. Turns out the song kinda sorta works out. Sokka's having some moon feels. Suki's trying to be there for him but is also perhaps feeling a little bit insignificant - like she has some big shoes to fill. And then poor, poor Toph is just sitting off to the side, playing with the space rock that Sokka gave her - also trying to be there for her friends but still feeling a bit like the third wheel.

Sooo, yeah, I just Yukka'd, Sukka'd, and Tokka'd all at once.
And Suki's still in her Fire Nation outfit because I like that outfit on her. In my head, she wears it all the time. Fuck the police.
