Strengths:
Lark is a physically strong individual though his short stature suggests he is not. He is also very agile and has dabbled a bit in Dark Magic. Besides this, can float a ways off the ground and move is scarf a bit by will. His scarf is, however, extremely harmless.
Weaknesses:
Though he can certainly float a ways off the ground, he is unable to levitate nearly as high as his sister. His max capability is barely a few feet off the ground. The little Dark Magic that he knows is very weak and not noteworthy in battle. He is also very bad at socializing and has a hard time making friends as he doesn’t make an effort to keep up the conversation unless it piques his interests.

To begin, Lark his very soft spoken. He doesn’t speak much at all though his mind is loud with thought. He tries to be a rather logical person and think things through, even in dire situations. While this is a good trait for times that require logistics and skillful thinking, it makes him very indecisive and unable to solve split second problems. He is also relatively antisocial and does not usually instigate conversation. He is very untrusting of others and even carries a knife for protection; though this is also for entertainment and throwing practice during his free time. Because of this nature Lark is often alone and while he’ll insist loneliness is futile and unnecessary, he does often feel isolated. However dark and dreary he seems though, his heart is pure and his intentions are, most of the time, good. Sometimes, only sometimes, does a switch seem to flip and his personality becomes a little more sinister…

History:
  Ten years after he was orphaned and then adopted by a circus alongside his sister, Lark had adjusted to a life of performing and danger. He was quite the adventurous lad and his favorite act to perform was his knife throwing one where he would aim daggers at a spinning wheel with a person strapped to it. His aim was flawless and he almost never faltered— except that one time when he accidentally impaled a cast member’s hand.
His life was turned upside down when the new Ring Master was appointed, the other one having mysteriously passed away and disappeared. At first it was fine; he found the new Master creepy but not at all threatening. This was before the Ring Master took interest in Lark. He began to implement new methods of performing, incorporating Dark Magic into the acts. When he approached Lark, asking him to dabble in the Dark Arts, the boy refused. However, upon threatening to endanger Lark’s sister, the Master was able to convince Lark to practice magic secretly.
The magic warped him. He became tired and often disoriented. At one point, following the Ring Master’s command, he summoned a demon which possessed him and would take control of Lark’s mind unless he was using all his might to suppress it. Rather than performing an exorcism, Lark’s predicament was turned in another act; his Jekyll and Hyde act in which he would let the demon seep a bit into his mind in order to act as a “split personality.” ((This makes more sense if you know the story of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hide.))
It is also noteworthy to mention that, besides money, the old fool of a Ring Master believed he could gain eternal life with an ancient spell and several ingredients including an blood sacrifice. He put Lark in charge of finding a “worthy” candidate.
One freezing night, after a particularly harsh and stressful show, Lark felt his control over the demon slipping and he fled to the tents on the outskirts of the circus hoping to try and regain dominance in an isolated place where there would be no spectators. He did not count on someone returning to the cast tent to change clothes in preparation for the next show. He recalled the Ring Master’s order to find a sacrifice and decided that this was as best a time as any to kill one of his colleagues. After all, there was no one else around and the demon in him longed for blood.
Stealthily he made his way over to the figure, a knife in hand. In his haste, however, he knocked down a nearby crate and caused the figure to turn around. Leaping forward he tackled the cast member to the ground and pinned them down.
Alas, too late he realized it was his sister he held down and he tried to stop his arm from coming down. Veering to the side, away from Lacie’s throat he attempted to stab the ground but instead he pierced her right eye, eliciting a shriek from his twin.
Even now, Lark hears the screams of his sister, the sickening squish of an eye being disfigured and violently gouged from its socket, and the gushing of the blood as he slit his twin’s throat in an effort to stop her screeches.
After murdering her, Lark was in shock. But the thrill and adrenaline still pumped through his veins and he realized what he could do with his new found power that coursed through him. The human law no longer applied to him. He was the devil trapped in a human vessel.
He made his way to the Ring Master’s tent, killing the few who were so unfortunate as to be on his path and gouging their eyes from their sockets, as was his signature move. Without going into gruesome detail Lark disposed of the Ring Master and he too lost the both of his beady grey eyes.
After the demon had satisfied its blood thirst and Lark had come down from his high, Lark was changed. Realizing what he had done, he returned to his sister’s body. It was eerie to see her lifeless body lying on the ground, one of her eyes mangles and out of its socket. In his maddened state, Lark placed one of the Ring Master’s eyes (they had been removed cleanly for this very reason) into the empty socket and cast a spell to bond it to her body. ((Shh, its magic it works okay))It was a futile action for in her dead state Lacie was unable to see much of anything, but it made Lark feel more at peace. After doing this he calmly slit his own throat, allowing him to bleed out and die. The pain was not enough to make amends for his sins but at least it brought him relief when he passed out.
He was surprised to wake up and find that he was still “alive” in a sense. He was even more shocked to learn that his sister had also been given a chance at another life, though becoming spirits could hardly be called “a chance at life.” His sister luckily seemed unable to recall her death and so he kept it a secret, promising to himself to look after her and protect her in order to not repeat the same mistakes again.
They roamed the world for a while until Lacie discovered Otherworlde academy. Lark was of course against attending for he wanted nothing to do with Magic, but he eventually agreed in order to please Lacie and to guard her from the evils in the outside world and in Lark himself.

Misc. Information:
He wears his hair swept over his eyes merely to match his sister. Unlike Lacie, however, he often pins it back.
For his blood signature he merely slit his finger, pressed it down, and smeared it.
Lark became a Lost Spirit because of retribution and regret.
His scarf weighs him down and causes him to be unable to float very high. He does not take it off because it doubles as a seal for the demon that possesses him and a sign of punishment for his sin. Plus its really warm and comfy so—
He has a brand on the back of his neck.
His twin sister is Lacie
The name "Lark" is merely a stage name.

Alexander -   Alexander is... odd, especially in that he has a liking for the rain, an interest which Lark does not share. Still, he seems friendly enough, though apathetic at times.

Audrey -  He doesn't know too much about Audrey, having just recently met her. She's nice, if not a bit pampered.

Stefanie -   A very nice and considerate, yet assertive person. She teases him a bit, but also stands up for him when he's defenseless. He trusts her.

Casper -   Lark finds that he can relate to Casper in many ways, the most noticeable being their similar quiet fashions. Casper also understands the pain of being forced to dress up by none other than Lacie which, till then, only Lark had to endure.

Paris -   His first impression of her was that she was very... loud. His distaste for any racket causes him to be hesitant about talking to her, but she's kind enough. She also reminds Lark of his sister so that's a... plus???

Babette -   He hasn't talked to her all that much... She likes pranks and is terrible at cooking, a contrast to Lark's interests and talents.
