From my AP art concentration, Superstitions.
There were so many different takes on this superstition when I researched to find out more about it. This is the one that I thought was particularly interesting, so that's what I tried to illustrate here:
"First, not any foot from a rabbit will do: it is the left hind foot of a rabbit that is useful as a charm.
Second, not any left hind foot of a rabbit will do; the rabbit must have been shot or otherwise captured in a cemetery.
Third, at least according to some sources, not any left hind foot of a rabbit shot in a cemetery will do: the phase of the moon is also important. Some authorities say that the rabbit must be taken in the full moon, while others hold instead that the rabbit must be taken in the new moon. Some sources say instead that the rabbit must be taken on a Friday, or a rainy Friday, or Friday the 13th. Some sources say that the rabbit should be shot with a silver bullet, while others say that the foot must be cut off while the rabbit is still alive." ~Wikipedia lolll
I actually have a rabbit's foot from when I was really little and didn't realize that, even though it's purple that doesn't mean it isn't from a real rabbit. I really regretted getting it at that point. xD
The one thing I really don't like about this is the guy's anatomy. I dunno what is up with his shoulders but UGHHHH fkjff
One more left to submit, which was a replacement for my first one (the ladder picture which I began to really hate) :C

OH YUS. A few days ago, I folded together some lined paper, scribbled "Deathnote" on the front, and dramatically wrote down names of people who were annoying me.

It looks like an open wound.
I love how shady the figure is with the foot. He looks like he's gonna go sell it illegally. or something secretive and rather shifty.
And the rabbit looks so haunting and eerie. Kinda like the rabbit from Monty Python if it were more evil-looking.

the shoulders look really thin, and the arm/sleeve looks too straight which i think it what makes it look awkward? maybe not too straight, but sort of.. it looks like hes very stiff or like the shoulder doesnt connect to the arm correctly.. im not sure its hard to tell o: but now that im scrolling up to look at it again it looks like hes standing more to the side yet his face is forward so maybe thats why its awkward?
it doersnt seem to be too big a deal tho. as usual your painting skills are quite fantastic and whimiscal, and i really love the hand. it caught my attention!

It's not hard to do at all! Just start from the edge and tear the first layer off. Or if you want part of the ribbing showing in the middle, take some small pointy object and poke a hole in the first layer and tear it from there. :]

something i found out about the rabbits food:
you touch it you own it. you own it, you get a lucks run to beat the devil! however, you loose it the luck turns bad! so bad that you're dead within the week!
so teknically its a curse!

ok, so i'm really think this is sweet. in a totally morbid kind of way. i think the only thing that really bugs me is the color of the glove. it kinda steals the focal point of the rabbit's foot
the torn cardboard was an awesome touch. i though it was burnt, which made it kinda insane yet kickass, but i know ANYONE would not even risk burning a masterpiece. which this one totally IS.
the colors suit is well, and teh bunny is cute. i can see how you can hate the anatomy, but i'll keep it to myself. well, this is definitely goes under the fave department.

I actually thought a lot about what color to make the glove/rabbits' foot, and I actually was going to have the glove white and the rabbit's foot red, but then I was like... WELLLL the rabbit in the picture is white... HURRRR.
