Here is a piece of the developmental stage of what is now known as the Orchilion. Its name coming from Orchid and Lion

Orchilions are known to produce silk from their strong, chitinous fangs. They use sorrounding materials to make a little cocoon for their new egg. This will provide camouflage and an armor type structure to the soft egg. No one has seen what the actual egg looks like, due to the strong silk and armor.

Babies cannot fly, due to their wings being so small, so they rely on swimming as a tactic to avoid predators. This has proven to be extremely effective and adults grow a large fin on their tails to swim at depth of 28 feet and fly great heights. Though the scales of the Orchilion are very soft, feeling almost like a new blanket from a store. These scales easily break and require a lot of grooming in order to keep parasites off.

This allows them to escape predators, because they release a slick oil onto their scales. This oil feels just like water and does not stick to outer sources. Orchilion scales have groves to keep this oil on their bodies and allow them to slink around or through objects, making them good at escape.

Orchilions are vibrant with many different types of patterns, mostly resembling frogs or birds. Though the babies are entirly green, even the eyes, until they become juveniles and gain some color and patterns
