So while waiting at the doctor's office last week I decided to draw Elphaba (Wicked Witch of the West) and her sister Nessa Rose (Wicked Witch of the East). This is them back when they went to Shiz x3 Guess someone said something not nice towards Nessa, so Elphie's being all protective.I had no clue what to put Nessa in, do I just stole one of her outfits from the musical, though book Nessa is so much better, even though I hate her with an immense passion. Her design is awesome, though. Yes, she's armless, and thus the awesomeness.
In short: Nessa = cool looking but still boo to her >_>
Also, I like to picture Elphaba in a priest's outfit. It amuses me. Still, her outfit from the movie is the shiz (hurrhurr!!) so I think I'll just draw young Elphie in this outfit, and older Elphie in that one. x3

As for Nessa... Well, I do not approve with how she acts towards Elphaba, how spoiled she is, and then add to that how she treats the Munchkins once she takes over! And even though I've not seen the play, I do know of something she does in it that makes me quite irked at her. Crazy lady!! 8D

this good. why do you hate Nessarose so much? I love her character, so many layers, the piousness and then ditzy cruelty. In the book she doesn't seem to realize who bad she is becoming, like the line with the axe when that woman asked ehr to kill the soon-to-be Tinman with it:

I don't think she sees it, so sad, but I love Nessa, but Elphie then Galinda/Glinda come first. The Wonderful Witches of Oz!

And, trust me, I'll definitely admit that she's a cool character. I like her design and all that, just not how she acts and the pain she causes Elphie. It's like... I dislike her for those things, but I do admit they make her an interesting character. ^_^

Other than dying, how does she cause pain to ELphie (if it has musical spoilers don't tell!)?
And I like how she acts, she different. She's the Wicked Sis-but like I said she doesn't seem to know it.

Well, I don't know about pain actually, but Nessa never treated Elphie all that well. Plus there's that she was her parents' favorite (thought I know that's not her own fault, but still). Also, unrelated to Elphie the way Nessa treated the Munchkins once she took over. Plus those insanely pious-types kind of creep me out.

Oh, well I knew you didn't mean physical pain but she wasn't to bad in the book. She was on the borderline of nice and mean. I do not think she was actually mean but she can seem cold (though, sadly, so does Elphie; poor girl)
But I think Nessarose, yes she took attention away from Elphaba, but that was not her fault. And the piousness was a result of Nessarose and Elphaba's father, who was obbsesive about the Unnamed God adn I guess Nessa took that path. She was a bit cruel to the Munchkins, in the book it was noticeable but subtle.

I do haev one other question about Nessarose though, its more about the play (if you have seen it, I have not) in general.
In the musical Nessarose is supposed to have a song "Wicked Witch of The East" or something like that but its not on the CD.
I guess thats not a question but I don't why its not there.

I haven't seen it, but I had downloaded something titled that, thinking it to be a song but then it just turned out to be a scene from the play. Have you actually heard it, and know for a fact it's a song? You're right in that it's not in the soundtrack, though *has that and has listened to it many a times*

Yes, I own the Cd too adn listen to it a lot during the day, do you know if there is a CD with Kendra and Stephanie, or any other than the original? (which is awesome though)!

I have yet to read Son of a Witch 8_8 By the time I got done with Wicked, I knew I wouldn't have had to to read Son of a Witch before we had to turn in library books 'cause of school getting out. >_>

Hmm, aye, Nessa is supposed to be armless. Guess they couldn't find any armless chick that could sing awesomely for the musical, so they changed her to being in a wheelchair. She's supposed to be able to walk, just not all that great because her balance sucks, being armless and all xD
