Soo, yeah...

It's basically been a month since my last picture.
I'm not even completely sure if my Journal entry could've explained what went wrong.
Not trying to make up excuses, but sheesh; This is what happens when your motivation takes a three week vacation, and your inspiration disappears into a mile-long labyrinth.
Nothing gets done. It's a sad time...

But I'm back!

For... a few days, at best. ( ; ᵕ ; )

Or maybe you don't care. (could be possible)

I want to say I've been doing absolutely nothing, but that's actually not true.
To be honest, I have done some other pictures in the last month. \(*・ω・)
Like... one or two.

But one of them took a little over a week to do, soo, erm... yeah. I think that might be a record, for me. \(・∀・)/
Though, that picture has been finished for a while, including another picture that I might upload in the next day or so.

But anyways, I think I've rambled on for too long about my life.
Let's discuss this instead. (*°▽°*)

Okay, first things first. Remember the early access game "Slime Rancher"??
Yeah, it's still a thing.
But it's not early access anymore!
I mean... I'm only three days late. That's not too bad, right??

....
Well, the point is; Ever since it came out of early access, now anyone who plays the game gets to know what Beatrix looks like!
And it seems to be a common opinion that's she's freaking adorable. (ﾉ´ヮ`)ﾉ
Or maybe a lot of people just like her design.

But I know I'm not the only one who thought she was way too cute for her own good.

So since one of my favorite games has finally left early access, and now that the rancher has an official in-game model, I felt like this would be a good time to draw some fanart of the rancher and a few slimes.
Sorta to celebrate the release. (´｡• ᵕ •｡`)

I mean, that's all the picture was supposed to be. It wasn't even going to include her legs, in the beginning. I'm not sure how, but I ended up turning what was supposed to be a relatively simple picture, into my legitimately favorite picture of mine. It's like The Lake all over again. Minus the "becoming my favorite picture". Though... The Lake is my background, soo... ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Sadly... this has to be a fluke. I mean, I did draw this in a different style than my other pictures, and it feels like this style works a little bit better for me. I mean, it can honestly be somewhat enjoyable to do, once you get past the complications of THE ANATOMY.

I drew one other picture in this style, and it was actually the first one I did in that style. This is the second picture, buut I wanted to upload it first because it's Slime Rancher, and the whole reason I made this picture was because of the game's release.
So, may as well upload it as soon as possible. (＾^ ‿ ^＾)

I mean, I guess I could've uploaded it last night, but I was genuinely worn out after spending most of the day (including some of the night before) drawing it. (≧▽≦)

To be honest, I was a little wary of drawing Beatrix. I mean, I wanted to, and I was going to try, at this point. But her design is... kinda complex. Not to mention I had no idea how I was supposed to draw the vacpack. So if you're wondering how I ended up doing it... I stared at a reference for the entire time.

But let's face it, I had to stare at a reference to get some of the things to look right. I'm not familiar enough with her complete design to be able to remember exactly what it looks like, and the vacpac has a very odd and... unique design. ( ;^ ᵕ ^)

Same thing with the bee-looking "thing" hanging from her waist.

I don't actually know what it is, but in the picture that I was using (it was a picture of the back of Beatrix's model, so I could figure out what she looked like in the back) I think the vacpack was actually connected to it. Maybe it's the place where all of your "vaced-up" stuff goes! Regardless, I never actually noticed that little detail until it was too late, where at that point I just said "screw it".

And yet one more thing I forgot to include would be that cream-ish thing that people seem to think is reminiscent of a gameboy. It should've been visible with this pose, but I never noticed it in the picture I was using as a reference.

I mean, I did eventually, but it was a little bit too late, by then...

Not to mention, I nearly forgot the bandage on her face, and I honestly forgot that she has gloves on.
So I had to make another little edit there...

But in the end, I still love the way she turned out. And this is one of the only pictures I've ever done which includes a character, some slimes, and an actual background. ( ; ・ω・)

Speaking of the slimes... I wish I had more to say on them, other than that I think they turned out surprisingly well. I like the largo in this picture much better than the one in "Whoa! Shiny~" and this time I included a puddle slime, a jumping tabby, and a couple of phosphor slimes because people seem to like those. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

And, they just fit well in the picture.

But anyways... I should probably be going. I get the feeling that this description was just a tad bit longer than normal, so before I make it any longer, there's one last thing I wanted to say.

If there's nothing "wrong" with the pictures, and I can think of a description to write for them, I might be uploading a couple of more pictures in the next few days. Maybe. Though I should probably mention that they're both related to my story, and one of them is literally just a picture of the major characters. So... Just don't expect anything terribly interesting. Unless you're interested in pictures of random characters.
