Description
The Multi-Purpose-Rig, abbreviated to MPR, is a robotic body used exclusively by members of CSPECWAR (the Consortium Department of Special Warfare). The Brains of operators are cut from their bodies and deposited inside what’s called the black box. Made with extremely durable and light weight material, the MPRs provide a huge improvement in every category over regular human operators, while also allowing units in the field to perform exceptionally without physical harm coming to the body of the user, who feels as if they were in their own body. While users don’t feel pain, they are notified if hit or at loss of limb. Direct communications are available between operators and friendly forces surrounding them.
Upon “death” or incapacitating injury, the black box is put into standby-mode (lasting up to 4 years). If the contents of the black box are not retrieved or compromised in some way, the box self destructs.
Battery life of the combat unit can last up to six months and comes with emergency batteries and charger.
The operators who use them have received the nickname “Pathfinders”, for their small numbers and unorthodox tactics used.
