I used a home-made tripod (not that it looks like a tripod) for this. [okay it's just a few boxes XD] And the lens wich can zoom in much. The lens actually did the most here.

Ah. Haha, a homemade tripod... I will have to make one of those for the fourth of July fireworks. xD

Only if you have the ability to change exposure times on the camera. I don't know if fireworks would look cool without using a long exposure.
