Description
Short shoot in patch of jungle by my house to test outdoor lighting.Strobist Info:
Large round silver reflector below model, ring flash, speedlight behind model camera left triggered with slave
Model:
Singapore Miss Earth 2009
I've been asked with my recent "Jungle Girl's" series, how do you get the rays of light from your off-camera flash and how do you capture the mist. Ok, pay close attention:
1. Shoot at sunrise, yes get up early!
2. Yellow gel in front of flash to make light from flash mimic early morning sunlight, branches in front of flash/strobe..
3. If shooting in tropics like me, steam/mist will be there
4. Take what you got, and enhance it with some lovely brush work, blurs and transparencies as photoshop is the only way to achieve this 100% unless you have loads of lights, reflectors, fog machine and a team of 8 (hard enough to get up at 6am to shoot let alone a team of 8!)
ENJOY!
