beautiful shot, the dune books are always a source of joy, truly a fav.....the Hyperion series by Dan Simmons also quite a classic.....

I'm not exactly sure what it's supposed to be, or what it's made of, but it looks like a scalpel made of bone. Regardless, it's pretty much awesome.

In the Sci-Fi series of Dune, there were giant sandworms known as makers (not really gonna go into the why of that) that roamed the planet of Arrakis. The natives of Arrakis, used the sandworms teeth and turned them into Krys Knifes. This is a replica from the David Lynch film version of Dune thrown over a Zin garden. Yeah, I cheated and just cropped out the rest of the picture.

NP. First time I was it I think I was 10 or 11 maybe. But I have had what some would call an unhealthy obsession with the series ever since. If you get the chance check out the novels. Way better than the movie. And up until the most recent releases each book in the series is better than the one before it.
