Maybe it's because of the mask and gloves. I can't help but relate it to surgery, and I'm scared of it.

I really like this photo.
It's a good example of perfect use of models to a theme.
The skinny, shaved, pale models with gloves and masks. Like overhygienic.
But it kinds of ruin it for me, when I see that you have used models like this on all your photos. But, never the less, I still think this photo is good.

why is that no one replies to all the comments that say "i like it" or someting like that, but whenever someone says something about not liking it, everyone gets fucking pissed and calls them immature and stuff? If ppl dont like it, they should be able to tell the artist, just like the ppl that say they do like it. If the artist is confident about his/her work, then a stupid comment should never get her down...

I think this is a pretty cool image. But what I found more striking was people's reactions to it.
Why is the male nude figure not as "beautiful" as the female figure? It seems like our western society worships the female form, but for some reason the male form is dirty and ugly, or silly and laughable.

I know this is old as hell but I was intrigued by your comment,
Western society does not worship the female body but more her assets which would explain why we have so many ass, breast, and quite often vagina shots everywhere. If society truly worshiped the female form as a whole, we would not have problems with women who are overweight, those with small breast ect.
One has to take into account that when it comes to art, more often or not, the male gaze is going to overpower all else (at least the CLOSE-MINDED male, not every male)and with their views, anything that doesn't turn them on isn't beautiful, hence why we don't see a lot of nude males as some of these 'art lovers' find seeing another men nude is, as some people have pointed in their troll rants here, gay and why should they waste their time with something that isn't made for them.
I know there are plenty of women and men who want to see more wonderful male pieces but as long as we have people who feel that anything with a penis is gay or ugly, the male form (especially the penis) will be hidden by those who are too close minded to realize that it is just another part of the body, in this case the male's.

I am a guy and I agree that nude males get looked down upon a bit. I think this is mainly because unless done right, at least for me being a guy, a guy who is nude, unless in pretty good shape is not as nicely proportioned... We males unless we are toned are more angular and sharp. A female's body does not need to be muscular, it is more rounded and smooth more filled out in complete perfection. Females, who really lift weights like bodybuilders do not look natural IMO their beautiful curves are no longer the main focus.
I think it was Burke who said something like "Observe that part of a beautiful woman where she is perhaps the most beautiful, about the neck and breasts; the smoothness; the softness; the easy and insensible swell; the variety of the surface, which is never for the smallest space the same"
Women are like fine sculptures, every curve is beautifully crafted for aesthetic purposes... Men, well we're not crafted for aesthetic, we are there for back straining hard work

Heh I also wanted to comment on this picture, my first thought when I saw the guy was he looks unhealthy no offense to him but he looks thinner than I was when I was 13 and was was called bones on my basketball team...but his looks tied in with the mask makes me think of contamination and disease and in that case looking like he does works very well.
