But with inner peace, money is fun!
I find that just falling into your natural place and being fine with it is a key way to get inner peace.
Of course I got lucky and obtained a suitable existence, not rich, not poor, I can be myself and have a few friends, so I'm cool.
But I guess it is different for others. I've never understood it...

thanks, when i was drawing this, i really didnt think it was going to turn out well at all, it only took me about 20 minutes. we were off school due to the snow, and i was just sitting on my bed and decided to draw. once i picked up my pencils, i just had this surge of pissed off emotion so i had to draw it all out. werid how things work out like that.

Ironically, one of the great luxuries of living in America is that you needn't seek the American dream (Ivy League ed, money, 401k retirement, all that jazz). Peace Corps is there; so is Doctors Without Borders; so is the sporting goods store where you get your backpack for the Himalayas. I agree with you here--sometimes the traditional path is the best, for some, maybe even for many. But living for security alone...that's like really really bad tunnel vision.

Right. Live la dolce vita.
Meaning that skydiving, backpacking across Europe, swimming with dolphins and joining the Peace Corps are all in.
And the little red brick house with the white picket fence....is but the American Dream. Just that. A dream. Not reality.
