i think she will always be some sort of the anti-hero, which is totally awesome.
u see, anti-heroes and secret identities are the things i like most about shows, even if the story sucks. i recently found a cartoon about three girls who turn into mermaids when entering water. and in one episode, there was this small group of criminals who wanted to sink a boat of the coast guard, and the dad of Cleo, one of the mermaids, was on that boat. so yeah, the girls arrived just in time, saved CleoΒ΄s dad and then Cleo was like "now im mad". and u dont want Cleo mad at u, especially if u are on a boat. because additionally to her water breathing, transformation and ocean dweller communication abbilities, she is also able to water bend, even if she is a human. her frienda Rikki and Emma can boil or freeze water btw.
anyway, the most fun thing about secret identities is to watch the sometimes weak excuses for people toΒ leave a certain place. like one time in the aforementioned cartoon, when CleoΒ΄s little sister Kim found her diary, where Cleo had written all the stuff about being a mermaid. and since Cleo was mean to Kim the day before, Kim was like "im gonna tell everyone that my sister is a mythological creature that lives in the ocean." i mean, she had a good plan. ok, it was the water-bucket-and-door plan, but if she wouldve placed a webcam that directly sent the video to her computer, she wouldve had proof that Cleo could bend water.
ok, i wouldve told my family if i could do this, but yeah.
anyway, this comment got completely out of hand, sorry about this. i think i should stop writing now.

yeah, me too.
but it lacks continuity. ok, it is only about 20 episodes i know of, but heck, in one episode Cloe wanted to farm pearls or something, and after that it was never mentioned again. also, the protagonists power levels seem to be completely random. like one time, where Cleo created a huge tsunami to get everyone to hide, and another time she had problems to make a regular water dispencer burst. i mean, it totally blew up and all, but it seemed more complicated to her than creating a giant wave.
but there is a fun thing about the show i didnt mention yet: a stone-circle-thingy that was built before the area was under water. Su, technically this cartoonΒ΄s version of Zecora, told the mermaids that it was built with negative intentions and it could curse those who are in the middle of it. one time, Cloe accidentally erased her memory of being a mermaid, while still having her powers. imagine her face when she saw the fin, or that one time she told Emma that they would drown if the wouldnt swim up again and Emma was like "what did u say?" and then Cloe realized she could breathe under water (btw my favourite super power next to flying or hitting any target with any projectile).
or one time, the stone thing cursed Rikki so she wouldnt transform back into a human if she goes out of the water. she actually ate seaweed (acccording to her, some types dont taste that bad
ok, the biggest flaw with that cartoon is in my opinion the sometimes totally failed focus. like one time, when Cleo was holding Bernie, a hermit crab, in her arms and Bernie said something, they focused on Bernie. i mean, if there wouldve been a "nice" background to see it wouldve been much nicer, but nope, not the slightest fanservice. only the failed attempts to give a hermit crab a speaking animation...
