-STORY-
- Timber is a young stallion. His origin isn't well known since he rarely ever talks about his past. What is known is that, like most colts, he was kicked out of his herd at a young age. Afterwards he just wandered around trying to find a place to belong. He happened upon Gull's herd by accident. Little Dusty had wandered a bit too far and had gotten herself lost in the surrounding woods when Timber found her. He couldn't just leave the filly alone out in the woods so he helped her get back to her herd, getting thanked profusely by her mother Melody. He politely asked Gull to join the herd as a guard and Gull let him, seeing as Timber is a well mannered and gentle stallion. Over time Melody came to fall for him and visa versa. Since Melody didn't want to be mated to Gull and Gull wasn't going to force her to, he allowed her and Timber to be mates. Timber did what he could for Dusty, becoming her step dad and loving her even though she never really saw him as a father (more like an older brother, uncle, or her mother's mate).

Yes. He's Melody's mate, after Hayden (Dusty's dad) died.
Gull allows Timber in the herd because he behaves himself, is still young (younger than Gull) and because Melody doesn't want Gull as a mate but he knows that she and Dusty need a stable herd.
