Save for a few stumps, there had not been a moment where Moon felt truly accepted by the rest of her peers. Sure, she had her brother and his posse to hang around with, but even their energy was ...a bit too much for her liking. Entertaining and involving, but certainly not the type of staxies she would want to be stuck with constantly.

"Maybe you should look into getting a tabogi? Or a mancake?" Was the response from her brother, who had unfortunately noticed Moon's inner turmoil of putting up with whatever shenanigans his group was preparing to do, and decided to bring it up with her. "You think I'm able to take care of a pet?" She said in the most skeptical and hesitant of tone, but it did make her perk up in interest, "I'm not sure if I can... What if something goes wrong, and I end up hurting it? I wouldn't want it to suffer because of my mistak-"

"Moon," he interrupted.

"Grain," she fired back with a mild, exasperated look.

The squall's face morphed into his usual, mischievous grin, "I'm just saying. It might be worth checking out. You can decide if you really wanna go through with it after still." Though he was a troublemaker at heart, and his voice somewhat nonchalant and joking, his words were said in intention of providing her with the reassuring push she needed. "Besides, couldn't be worse than me," he shrugged, moving to lie against the cushions of his nest.

Moon gave a short laugh in reply, before lying in her own, opposite to Grain's in their shared space, "I hope so."
