Description /Awakening
/Prologue
It was quiet, so quiet in space. The black emptiness rolled on for ever, only broken by a few stars and constellations. However stars are not the only thing that break the darkness, there are the crafts of sentient beings that traverse the great expanse of the void. And sometimes there were wars. One such occurrence was going on in the Orion arm of the galaxy. A small fleet of sleek dark craft were being crushed by a massive quantity of dark red craft of many size and variety. A short battle ensued with the latter being the victor, however one of the dark crafts crashed into a massive ship of the opposing faction. The pilot was killed outright. Normally a craft of such small size would cause barley any damage to a ship that so easily dwarfed it, but by accident or design a ship two thousand meters in length tumbled out of a opening near the crash and floated into the  depths of space.

    /Chapter one
It was an unlit room, although with its size it would more appropriately be called a cavern, with a single platform in the center that was two hundred feet in circumference. Pipes and tubing twined across the ceiling and floor. Machines formed a semi-circle at the front of the platform with a short pillar in the middle. A previously dead screen flicked on commands scrolled up, and it read,



Releasing occupant 333, standard procedure now in progress.
He stirred slightly, slowly at first then military training kicked in and urged him awake. Lights flickered on and revealed he was in the freeze pod, he quickly scanned the room nothing was out of the ordinary so he clambered out onto the cold metal grating. As he left to get his uniform he looked back at the room and realized all the other pods were empty. Where was his crew? After setting the question aside he put on his standard attire and headed for the control room. As he stepped in the lights flashed to life and he saw that the computer was already hard at work bringing everything on line.
“Good afternoon General.”, the smooth female voice said, “I am glad to see you up and walking about.” “Thank you computer, its good to hear you again”.
his mind returned to the empty pods and he asked, “What is the status on the escape pods computer?”, she replied, “All escape pods have been launched.”
“All of them?”
“All of them.”
This did not appeal to him.
“Hypothesis?”
“Likely we were attacked while on the admirals capital ship, and fell out of the hanger.”, she continued, “all crew members must have been awakened from stasis and fled since the ships systems were not on to propel it.”
A thought hit him, “Scan immediate area!”
“processing…. Coordinates 3...4...9.… in the Orion arm, western fringe of the milky way galaxy.”
Damn.
“do we have enough power to get back to the fleets last known coordinates?”
“no”
Damn.
He felt empty and cold, he was floating around with the admirals fleet flying to Their home planet and they probably didn’t know they were missing. And if they did they wouldn’t know where to look. it’s a huge place space. He was like a speck in his home worlds ocean that had dried eons before his time.
The silence that seemed to go on for ever was interrupted, “General?”
“Yes?”
“I have located a world that is… interesting.”
“show me.”, he said, mind diverted.
The holograph flared up from the center pillar and a orb of blue, green, and white hung in the air.
“Scans indicate a level four civilization.”
“Do you think they have enough power to get us back to the fleet?”, he asked hopefully.
“No, but we could use some of the resources to construct a beacon.”
Excellent.
“Set coordinates to… what’s the planets name in the star charts?”
“Earth.”
“fascinating, very well set coordinates for Earth!”
“Yes sir, General Zirk!”
The general of the Irken Military would not be lost to the stars so easily.
He watched the planet swell to fill the ships alloy infused window as he sat on the gravity throne.
He hoped the planets inhabitants had a good military, they were gonna need it.

/Chapter two
It was a beautiful planet, full of greens and blues, but was unfortunately inhabited by sentient primates. It would have made a nice leisure planet. As he gathered necessary equipment for planet fall the computers silky voice queried, “General should we follow Invader protocol?”
“No”, he replied, staring emptily into space, annoyance obvious in his words.
“Well I just thought..”
“Are we invaders?”, Zirk said, abruptly cutting her off.
“No but…”
“So do you think we are here to study the planets weakness from the safety of an underground  base!?”
“no….”, there was an audible pause, “Were still going to build a base of operations right? Chances for survival are low if we cannot fall back into a place of safety.”
“Of course, I’m not completely stupid.”
“That’s questionable.”, she replied, toying with him. Zirk smiled, his dark mood lifted. He had always enjoyed missions with her, the computers cool logic and playful nature helped brighten even the darkest moments.
Later as he stood near the holo-pedestal, directing the more important  procedures for planet fall of his ship, the Ring Cutter, while the computer sent probes to the surface to look for a good place to set up a base of operations.
“General!”
“Yes computer?”
“I have found a good place to set up a base of operations its secluded and in a continent with access to many of the resources we need!” She reported excitedly.
“where is it?”, he Demanded, authority present in his voice, brought on through pack encoding and years of military command.
“In the north western hemisphere, located in a desert, fifty kilometers from a small town.”
“Bring it up on the holo-pedestal.”
It looked like a military air base, it had an air strip and a few hangers which were good for storage.
“Have the probes located the continents defense network, assuming they have one.”, he said sarcastically.
“Yes”, she replied, “on the eastern coast of the continent, in a city named Washington D.C., in a structure called the Pentagon.”
“excellent, I shall go and cripple it so you can build the base without worry of retaliation from indigenous forces.”
There were two things he had to do first. He left for the  storage room. As he entered he saw a metal storage pod, he would tend to that in a moment, but first he had to get his personal mechanized assault craft ready for flight. He walked up to a large door that had a small DNA scanner on its side. He approached it, removed his glove, and put his clawed, three fingered hand on the scanner. The doors many parts slid into spaces on the wall and before him hung his personal sign of power, the M.E.S.S.(Mechanized Exo-Skelatal Suit) . He looked admiringly at it then went to the storage pod he passed earlier. He smiled, and opened it. Inside lay a robot smaller than him, but it had the potential to destroy an entire city on its own. It was Zirks own modified S.I.R. unit, Khaos. Zirk opened its head and activated it. Khaos’ eyes flashed to life and scanned his surroundings, seeing his master he immediately saluted.
“At ease Khaos.”
“Yes my master!”
Zirk stared at him. This was going to be interesting.
“Khaos?”
“Yes master?”
“Do you know that we are separated from the admirals fleet and in hostile territory?”
“Yes sir! The ships computer updated me on the current situation when I was activated and I know our current state of plan.”
Zirks smile broadened.
“And what is our plan?”
“Crush the Defense network in Washington D.C., while the ship destroys the air base and establishes a base of operations!”
“Good now get in the M.E.S.S!”
“Yes sir!”
As he was preparing to disembark the computer said one last thing to him.
“General, what if indigenous forces retaliate?”
“They wont.”

/Chapter Three
As he entered the atmosphere he went over his plan again with Khaos.
He understood well enough.
“So when I am through you will meet me at….”
“Our initial landing site.”
“Good.”
He watched as the planet sped closer and closer, at last the landing site came into view.
“Get ready Khaos!”
He shot towards the ground and pulled up at the last second going more than two-thousand kilometers an hour. He slowed avoid hitting the Pentagon. The native inhabitants stood there dumfounded. He knew he would have to act quick if he was to succeed, and his current state was only effective in air-to-air encounters, and with that thought he began transformation. The M.E.S.S. began to change, limbs extending seemingly out of nowhere, gravity thrusters replacing the plasma drives, and finally Zirks command chair disappeared and a gravity lift suspended him as connecters inserted themselves into his Pak. Then his consciousness expanded to accommodate his new form.
His gravity thrusters activated and lifted him of the ground. However because the weight of the M.E.S.S. was so great that the force necessary to lift it crushed the space beneath it.
Pavement shattered as he floated towards the target. He held up his right hand, which was in actuality the M.E.S.S.’ hand, and shifted his fingers back so the arm could expand to accommodate the barrel stretching out from within, and proceeded to blast the wall of the Pentagon. The Gravity cannon would break trough, but he needed to cause more destruction. With but a thought, a mortar gun extended from his back and shot plasmic explosives into the night sky. They would shoot up for about five-thousand meters before exploding and sending shards of super heated death onto everything within a three hundred meter radius. It still was not enough, while still maintaining fire on the Pentagon he activated a shoulder mounted laser cannon and fired, creating a hole in the building big enough to fly through.
As he floated towards the opening he sensed aerial retaliation coming from the south, about twenty-four units, separated into two groups, one leader per group. It was a light attack force not worth transforming to engage. He knelt on one knee powered up the laser cannon while simultaneously deploying a matter-antimatter missile pod from his left shoulder. He locked on and fired, knowing none would miss. As the greater bulk of this minor threat was destroyed in mechanics the victims probably couldn’t comprehend, the rest that bunched together to avoid the attack were killed in a fiery explosion meant for tearing holes in capital ships. He knew more would be coming so he released Khaos from a shoulder compartment. He watched as his servant disappeared into the complex and the mortar crashed into the surrounding terrain, causing most of the nearby constructions to explode into rubble. Now to take what he needed.
As his master had released him Khaos shot into the complex knowing what was expected of him. He moved quickly and quietly, terminating any life forms that was deemed a threat. In no time he reached his goal, a large computer matrix that fed information through multiple systems. He walked closer and touched it. Immediately information began to flow through. It filled him, but it was not why he was here. He began uploading the A.I. While that was going on he opened a link so he could monitor the “Humans”, as he now knew their self given name. He listened to a conversation between two panicking humans.
“What the hell is going on!?”
“I don’t know, the system just went haywire!”
“So what does that mean?”
“Its being destroyed code by code!”
There whining was beginning to get annoying so he decided it was enough to let the A.I. work on its own.
He turned to leave when a human walk past the doorway and glanced in. It stared at him for a while then began gibbering manically into a device on its wrist. Time to spring into action. Khaos converted his right arm into a plasma rifle and burned two holes into the humans chest. His left arm, which was a metal tentacle, released itself from the network. He rushed into the hallway, following the same route he took into the building. As he went past intersecting corridors he thought about what the human had said. If only he had his translation software updated.
As he ran into the main lobby a group of humans were blocking the exit, some form of primitive projectile firing mechanism in their hands. Pitiful.
Ten seconds.
They opened fire on him, but when the bullets reached his location he was no longer there.
Seven seconds.
Instead he was running on the ceiling launching superheated plasma down on their heads.
Five seconds.
As he skimmed down the wall he watched in slow motion as the humans followed the path he had traveled moments before.
Two seconds.
The plasma connected with their heads as he crashed to the floor on the other side of the room.
Zero.
The bodies fell to the floor, and Khaos zoomed out of the complex and into the night.

/ Chapter Four
As Zirk flew low over the ground the landscape changed from shrub to desert. As he scanned the horizon a gigantic mountain that had previously not been there appeared. He knew what it was. He passed through the mountain when he should have exploded. His view screen filled with static, and when it cleared a huge tower extended into the sky.
“Welcome back general.”
“Thank you computer.”, he replied.
“Your welcome, please proceed to this hanger.”
As he landed near the middle of the tower the computer chimed, “While establishing a base I noticed that this planet has a unique attribute.”
“Elaborate.”, He demanded.
“Well…. Its hard to explain. This world is in a state of dimensional flux. A crossroad, so to speak, of infinite worlds.”
“What!?”
“I looked into it and have found an innumerable amount of worlds, each different but, carrying one thing in common.”
She sounded distressed.
“What thing in common?” He said impatient.
“Well they each have the basic culture of our great enemy.”
“WHAT!”, He was very angry with this news. “And the theory is?”
“My theory is that when our great enemy began to lose the war with us, advanced as they were, you know they began seeding their way of life on numerous worlds so that they would never truly die in the universe.”
“Yes, go on.”
“Apparently they saw the futility of this when things went from war with them to their extermination.”
“Yes yes I know, when their numbers went from a hundred percent  to ten, their activity in the universe  dropped significantly.”
“And apparently they decided to leave this universe and hide in these. Each one stems from our own, but has taken a different direction.”
“This is horrible! I knew they were advanced but this!?”
He stood there for a moment.
“Is the beacon prepared?”
“No, I have something better!”
A view screen flashed to life and an ominous figure appeared.
Zirk Saluted immediately, “My tallest I had no idea I could contact you out here.”
“General Zirk, your disappearance has been most upsetting, you are the Armadas most treasured instrument.”
“Thank you my tallest.”, Zirk filled his leader in on what had transpired, growing excited as his Almighty Tallest noticeably became more and more enticed as he spoke.
“Incredible! This gives you the perfect opportunity general.”
“What opportunity my Tallest?”
His leader smiled, “The admiral is dead general! You destroy this little problem I can assure you the position”, His Tallest smile deepened, “And anything else you want.”
“Well I……”
“I know your history general, I know why you hate Invaders so much, I know… the love you lost.”
Zirk stood there mouth agape.
“General, do this for the Empire, and I promise you we can bring her back.”
The screen went dead.
Zirk stood there for over twenty minutes.
“Computer?”
“Yes general?”
“begin building a dimensional gateway, I’m going to destroy each dimension one by one.”
“Yes sir!”, she said enthusiastically.
He would crush each and every one of the many worlds there were, just to see her face again. Every last one.

Very nice, I love it!

What I can't beleive, is that a awesome write like you has a had a story up for two and half days and has no comments or favs.

As for the recomendations...hnn...you could mention Zim being there...and try to destroy Zirk, thinking the Tallests had sent him there to conquer earth.

Zim. Always the egotist.

G'bye!

Thank you. I kinda got the idea watching Invader Zim one day and thought, "Hey what if Zim was actually competent?" and voila!
