Description /          Dooms Invitation

Chapter one/Chapter One
Zirk zipped along at an incredible speed just as before. However, now he no longer felt like he was being pulled apart atom by atom. Instead it was as though his whole body was taking a deep breath. Zirk saw the end was filled with stars, and he rushed to greet them.
Zirk catapulted out of the portal and smashed into a wall, shattering concrete. He fell to the ground hurt, but nothing the Nanobots couldn’t fix. Zirk saw his surroundings now clearly as the dimensional effects wore off. He was in a dark alley (typical), and the stars were overhead glinting beautifully. Zirk stood up shaking off the aches and pains from his trip. As much as Zirk could tell, he was in a city, and as he looked out he saw a bay with a large structure in it. Perhaps an important building?
Zirk peeked out from the alley and saw he was smack dab in a very active place. Lights were everywhere as were people. He quickly retreated back into the shadows. He had to get out, into a more… deserted area. Zirk extended his mechanical spider legs and climbed a building to his right. He reached the top and looked again at the sprawling metropolis. Yes, there was a structure in the middle of the bay. He looked behind him and saw a small forested area, possibly for recreation. Zirk used his ocular implants and saw two humans of opposite sex cavorting about in an uncaring manner, truthfully they were the only ones there.
Perfect.
He activated his Gravity Thrusters and flew silently towards them, evil evident in his eyes.

Was he so cruel?

Zirk landed quietly beneath a “tree” and watched them. They walked hand in hand whispering sweet nothings into each others ears and giggling in happiness. It disgusted him. Zirk watched as they sat on a stone bench kissing each other softly, occasionally casting nervous glances around to see if there were any observers. Eventually they lost themselves and were completely unaware of their surroundings, and Zirk stepped out from the shadows.
Zirk stood before them and they didn’t even notice until he grabbed them both by the shoulder and flung them apart. The female screamed in horror. Ironic. The male got on its feet only to have Zirk savagely punch him in the gut. The human doubled over in pain while Zirk drew his Morph-un from his Pak. Zirk tapped the cube in multiple places and it began unfolding itself around his left arm. When it finished the Morph-un resembled a narrow triangular gun pulsing a sick green light. The human looked up and saw the business end of the Gravity Pistol. It looked mournfully at Zirk.
“What are you?”
“Remorseless.”
Zirk fired and the humans head exploded. He heard a scream that echoed in his head. Zirk turned slowly, menacingly, and saw the human female standing scared out of her wits holding a tree branch. She turned to run dropping the branch on the ground, her sandals smacking her feet as she ran. Zirk extended his spider legs and raced after her. She tried to look back but tripped. A foolish move.
Zirk landed in front of her, retracting his spider legs. She attempted to scramble backwards but Zirk grabbed her by the neck and held her face close to his. She struggled against his grip, but in vain.
“Scream.”
She complied.
Zirk enjoyed every moment of her terror, her scream vibrated his antennae giving him pleasure. His smile easily visible. He watched her terrified face as he pulled out his data unit and held it over her face as its tentacles slid towards her face. She screamed even louder giving him more satisfaction.
When he finished with her he added the new knowledge to his mind. Hmmmmmm… the energy reading was mistaken. Instead of an object creating it, rather it was human beings, scattered all over the world. Or so he thought.
Zirk left the bodies laying there, a testament to his hatred. He didn’t even turn on his holographic disguise, it was insulting… to him.

Was he so cruel?

Zirk flew high above the city, even though it lessened the effectiveness of his Gravity Thrusters. As he shot towards the building he saw it resembled a human letter, most specifically a “T”. Zirk landed silently on the structure, crouching to keep his profile low. He saw that there was only one entrance to the inside of the structure, and a net hung a few feet way. Zirk slowly shuffled towards the edge when he saw a figure at the other end.
It was sitting down, yet floating. Its back was turned to him. Perhaps it was meditating? Foolish to do something like that in the open, it made you an… easy target. Zirk extended his spider legs and crept over the edge and hung there. He pulled out a round case glowing a soft white and whispered to it.
“Make a fusion obliterator for me, in high orbit. Use the planets moon for the necessary resources.”

/Chapter Two
He watched as the object shot out of his hand and into the night sky. Hopefully no one would notice. The case became a twinkle in the sky and Zirk thought it looked…

“Must you go?”
“Yes! Who else will!”
“I’m sorry. It’s just, you know how I feel about alien filth.”
She gasped.
“They are not filth! They just need guidance.”
Zirk stared at her. Normally xeno -sympathizers  were frowned upon. He chuckled.
“Maybe a few thousand years of guidance will make them as smart as me.”
“Or maybe a few days.” she teased.
“Oh ha ha.”
He watched as her starship sped into the darkness of space, its white light…

…familiar. Zirk quickly climbed to a vent on the side of the tower. He easily tore it off and let it fall as he climbed in. He retracted his spider legs and crawled through the cramped space. He knew that there was going to be resistance, so he pulled out his dark red collar and placed it on his neck. The armor flew out and covered him in a protective casing, it made him look like the true warrior he was. He clambered through searching the occasional openings and seeing nothing but empty rooms. Zirk thought maybe the others had gone to investigate the messy disturbance he had made.
He eventually came to a large room, possibly the “living room”, that was empty. Zirk removed a piece of grating and looked inside. There was a view screen at one end of the room, hopefully it had information he needed. He used his spider legs to lower himself down quietly. Zirk crouched low to the ground and crawled towards the large screen. He stood up and looked at it, Zirk decided to  absorb the knowledge directly to his Pak. He extended his ID plug, he closed his eyes and began taking everything. He learned of who these people were. A boy named “Robin”, an unusual girl named “Raven” much like the earth avian creature, a boy with a pigmentation similar to Zirks he was called “Beast Boy” how demeaning, there was human that was a crude melding of metal and flesh, similar to Zirk but so… inferior. Then Zirk came to something he did not expect. He saw a girl with orange skin, green eyes, and a disturbingly bright smile. And when Zirk saw this his body trembled. His fists clenched, his face twisted in disgust. There before his eyes stood a spitting image of his great enemy.
How he hated them. This was simply further proof of how disgusting they were, breeding with an alien species. And from the looks of it they had bred with humans at some point giving birth to this, this monstrosity! The frozen image simply smiled back at him, taunting him, insulting him, laughing at the loss of the most important thing in his life, enjoying his sadness and laughing at his pain. He loathed it.
Zirk had been so wrapped up in his hatred he didn’t notice that Irken text was scrolling up the screen. All of his plans for this world was put up on that screen. As he stole their information, ironically, he was giving them his. Zirk also didn’t notice while he was seething in hatred for the alien dubbed “Starfire”, the female he had seen earlier had entered.
“Who are you?”
Zirk snapped around, whipping his ID plug back into his Pak.
“What are you doing?”
Zirk stood there staring, she had purple shoulder length hair and fair skin. He couldn’t decide whether to run or attack this human. When the screen light that silhouetted him flickered and then died he made his choice. Before the humans eyes could adjust to the darkness Zirk launched himself at her, intent on ripping her face off. He crashed into her sure he had broken some bones but he didn’t feel anything crack. Odd. When they landed on the floor she kicked him off. Zirk crashed against something metal that began to spew heat out of its top. He lifted himself with his spider legs and prepared for the worst. He heard the human say something and a chair smashed into his skull sending him flying across the room. Zirk felt the wound, even with his bionic enhancements it had dented his skull. It wasn’t serious, the Nanobots would repair easily. But still, he was an Irken. He was superior! How could a human deal such a blow!?
“Oh you wretched human!”
“Human?”
Zirk looked at the human through the darkness. It said the same words as before and he saw it actually lift a table without physically touching it. The table flew towards him and Zirk caught it with his armored fists. He broke it in half with ease. He looked at her again.
“What are you really… Raven?” he practically growled her name, “No human is able to do such things.”
“How do you know my name?”
He didn’t answer. Instead he jumped onto the wall behind him and kicked off with his legs. He brought up his hand to grab her skull. Though she tried to block his attack, he simply pushed through her arms and gripped her head. He dragged her to a wall and proceeded to slam her head against it. Each time he only became more frustrated. Why wouldn’t her skull break!?  He was about to try another method other than just beating her to death when a refrigerator smashed him against the wall. He released her and tried to push it off. Zirk heard the human request for “everyone to come back immediately”. Zirk had a feeling things were about to get much worse.

/Chapter Three
Zirk lifted the refrigerator off him using his legs. Unfortunately his arms were crushed by the impact of the refrigerator, he would not be able to use them until the Nanobots could repair them. That would only take a few minutes. He stood up and saw the human “Raven” walking towards him. She gripped his head firmly. Zirk attempted to resist but his arms hung limply at his sides, he was about to use his spider legs to impale her but Raven brought his forehead to hers and Zirk lost the will to fight.
Something… something was happening. His brain and his Pak were being… sorted through. His memories were forced to the forefront of his mind. Zirk resisted fiercely, trying to keep everything hidden. He opened his eyes and saw the human struggling as well. Her eyes were tightly shut and her mouth twisted into a displeased expression. She was stealing his thoughts! Zirk decided to let her.
“Fine! You want to know who I am!” he shouted, “Then here! Take it!”
Zirk let everything go. Hundreds of years of knowledge poured into her head, no doubt it was painful. Zirk could focus more easily now that he was not resisting. His arms were almost fully healed, they just needed time to become fully functional. She was struggling now, trying to ebb the tide of information overfilling her brain. Raven breathed heavily struggling with the information, trying to get rid of it but it just kept flowing into her. She began to channel it elsewhere and Zirk could detect power building up from her mind. The air where their heads met began to ripple violently. Raven began to shake and Zirk tensed in anticipation.
She screamed as energy exploded from her mind, sending them both flying. While Raven flew into the kitchen, Zirk was sent crashing through the window and tumbled down to the rocks below. He landed squarely on one effectively breaking his back. And the glass from the window rained down around him. Zirk would have to wait as the Nanobots repaired the new damage done, and as he lay he saw an unusual ship with a small human flying near it landing on the tower. Zirk used his ocular implants to zoom in on the flying human. When he saw clearly what it was he wished he could move.
That alien he had seen earlier was near. It took all his will not to jump up and climb up the tower. Zirk was in no condition to fight, for the moment. He felt his back had been grafted together but not perfectly, that would take a little more time. Zirk attempted to get up but only managed to fall of the boulder he had been laying on. He looked back up thoughtfully as a green crow floated down from above. It landed in front of him and stood there staring with one side of its head.
“Hey little earth creature.”
It cocked its head sideways.
“You here to help old Zirk?”
Zirk thought maybe he could put a mind device on it and override its brain to do his bidding, when it began to grow. Zirk watched in confusion as it began to change shape as well. Earth creatures are not supposed to be able to do these things. What kind of world did he land in? The monster continued to grow and change until it formed a vaguely human shape, albeit with green skin and pointed ears. He looked no more than a human in its mid-teens.
“Great, more weird humans.”
“You did something to her! What did you do!?”
Zirk stared at him. His body was nearly battle ready.
“Beast Boy.”
He looked startled.
“Wondering how I knew your name?”
“No. I’m just wondering who you are.”
Zirk laughed. He glanced up and saw a head poking from where he had fallen. It was the normal boy. He looked back at Beast Boy.
“You want to know what I did to your friend?”
“Ya.”
Zirk nodded, “Come here.”
Beast Boy leaned his head in. Stupid human. Zirk grabbed Beast Boys face and threw him over his shoulder. Zirk looked back and saw him fall into the water. He chuckled. Zirk extended his spider legs and began climbing back up the tower. He had barley climbed two floors when he heard a crash below him. He looked down and saw a green ape clambering up after him. It looked at him with angry eyes. Zirk began climbing faster, and the ape raced after him. He had almost reached the opening when he felt a sharp tug, stopping him only an arms length away from his goal. He looked down and saw the green ape holding one of his spider legs. Beast Boy let go of the tower and dangled from Zirks mechanical spider leg. Zirk difficultly brought himself up just enough to see others with Raven apparently trying to help her. Zirk gripped the edge grunting and they looked at him. He saw the Cyborg stumble backwards in  surprise. Zirk saw the damned alien staring at him, a curious look on her face. He wanted to destroy her so badly.
Zirk turned around to face the monster still clinging to his leg.
“You want to give up your life? I’ll gladly take it!”
Zirk used all his strength to toss the beast into the window at the others. Zirk leaped up and pulled out his Morph-un. He poked it and it began to transform, covering his arm. The others stood transfixed as the Morph-un changed. Zirk even heard the cyborg whistle. Zirk brandished the Gravity Rifle. It needed a gravity core so Zirk pulled out a round canister and slapped it onto the underside of his gun, it made a high pitched whine as the Gravity Rifle charged. He aimed it at the now reverted Beast Boy. He was about to fire when the cyborg transformed his own arm into a gun.
“Please stop this unnecessary violence.”
Zirk perked up his antennae and was able to see the alien without even looking.
“Ya man, can’t we just talk about this?”
He was about to reconsider and maybe try to reason with them when he detected movement behind him. It was the boy wearing the mask, he was carrying a long stick and running towards Zirk.
“Wrong move human.”
Zirk turned to destroy the human and was just activating the fire mechanism when he was knocked off his feet by a blast to his Pak. His Gravity bolt missed the human by inches, but it detonated on the ceiling causing him to trip. Zirk jumped out of the way dodging a second blast, and came up near the broken window. He stood up and aimed the Gravity Rifle at the downed human and prepared to fire.

/Chapter Four
He wouldn’t kill the human too soon, he would enjoy his moment of pain later. Instead Zirk aimed the Gravity Rifle at the cyborg, he fired. The cyborg was sent crashing through the wall behind him. The blast caused beast Boy and raven to skid across the floor towards Zirk, Robin was once again knocked of his feet as he tried to stand up, and Starfire toppled over as well. Zirk however, stood there smiling. He turned to fire at the alien when Robin attempted to knock him of his feet with his rod. All he succeeded in doing was breaking the rod against Zirks shin.
“You’ll pay for that.”
Zirk bent down and picked Robin by his collar and threw him towards the shattered window. Robin grabbed a piece of metal hanging from edge, saving himself from falling to his doom. Starfire rushed to his aid leaving her completely vulnerable. Zirk planned to exploit this, but Beast Boy morphed into a rhino and attempted to smash him against the wall. Zirk quickly switched targets and fired directly into Beast Boys face. The blast knocked him unconscious, and out of the tower. He reverted back into his normal form as he fell, and Raven jumped after him.
“Foolish humans.”
Zirk was beginning to turn towards the hole when he received a message. He stopped and answered. Zirks Pak opened and the holo-projector  sped out. He watched the message, one of the drones he had sent into space appeared.
“Master, we have finished the fusion obliterator and are on standby to teleport you to it.”
“Good work. Prepare for teleportation!”
Zirk walked towards the hole made by the cyborg, he stood next to the metal body. He aimed the Gravity Rifle at the cyborgs head when he felt… something.
“Please! Can we not come to an understanding?”
He turned feeling a bit annoyed. He struggled hard not to run towards her and beat the alien to death, it was so hard.
“Yes I’m sure we can come to reason.” he said sadistically. He approached her slowly.
“Please tell us why you are here.”
His vision changed enabling him to see the ridiculous amount of energy the alien was giving off.
“I have come seeking something I have lost.”
“Maybe we can help, but please stop this fighting.”
His Morph-un folded in on itself and Zirk put it back in his Pak, but before he took his hand out he grabbed something else.
“Really!?” he said stupidly, “You would actually help me?”
“Yes! We would be glad to help someone in need.”
“Oh thank you, thank you, thank you! Please hold this it will tell you everything you need to know.”
Zirk handed her a ball made of intertwined wires. She held it for a moment, then the wires began sliding up her arm.
“What is this item given to me doing!?”
Zirk laughed maniacally.
“You should not be so naïve.”
It began tying her wrists together.
“Please! Make it stop!”
It slowly crawled down her legs, tying them together. She fell over squirming.
“Foolish little alien, you’re going to provide an excellent source power.”
She seemed about to respond, when the wires covered her mouth.
“Hey! Leave her alone!”
Zirk looked beyond her fallen form and saw the masked boy walking towards him. Zirk leapt over Starfire and grabbed the boy by the skull, lifting him off his feet.
“Fool! You disgust me! Your feelings for this alien are saddening!” Zirk looked back at the now completely encased Starfire. He looked back at Robin.
“You however will prove useful in a different manner.”
Zirk pinched a nerve on Robins neck knocking him unconscious and picked up the cocooned Starfire. He activated the holo-projecter in his Pak.
“Activate the teleportation pad!”
Zirk held the two prisoners and was whisked away.
Zirk cleared his eyes and saw he was standing on a glowing pad twenty-one meters in diameter. He dropped the two children on the ground and signaled for a drone to get them.
“Hook the alien filth up to the main power core, the other, send him to my command room. I have work to do on him.”
The drone carried them away. Zirk walked to a small control panel. Irken text scrolled up its height. He touched two symbols and was teleported away. When Zirk reappeared  he was in a huge room with holographs shining all around. And at the far end of the hall there was a huge view screen easily three-hundred meters long. It displayed planet earth with multiple points of light on it. They displayed key areas specific to keeping the world and its nations functioning.
“Master we have the human here for you.”
“Thank you bring him in.”
The drones entered through a door a hundred meters tall and two-hundred meters long and left the boy on a floating metal bed off to the side. Zirk walked over to him. As Zirk began monitoring his bio-signs Robin slowly began coming around. Zirk turned around and Robin tried to jump off the slab of metal but was quickly restrained by metal tentacles.
“Let me go!”
“I will as soon as I do what needs to be done.”
Zirk held a device that looked like a metal flower.
“What is that for!”
Zirk poked a light in its center and a small tentacle wriggled out searching for flesh to sink into.
“This, Robin, will go at the point where your head meets your spine. It will ensure your loyalty.”
Zirk activated a control flipping Robin onto his back. He squirmed relentlessly as Zirk brought the mind control device closer.
“Get that thing away from me!”
“But how else can I make you a mindless slave?”
Zirk placed it on Robins neck and it latched to him.
“No… no… get it… get it off me.”
Zirk waited a moment.
“Do you want it off now?”
“If my master wishes it.” he replied in a monotone voice.
“Good. Remain here while I check on your alien lover.”
He laughed and touched a holographic panel and was teleported to a small bright white room, and hanging in the middle of it connected to multiple cords was Starfire.
“Where am I?”
“you are on planetary destroyer, Dooms Invitation.”
“Why are you doing this to us? We have done nothing to offend you.”
Zirk twitched.
“BY BEING ALIVE YOU OFFEND ME!”
Zirk marched to a control station beneath her and touched multiple holographic commands. He watched as many metal wires descended from above and began caressing her before settling at the base of her neck. Small points of light traveled down the length of the wires and jolted Starfire. She closed her eyes and smiled pleasantly.
“These wires have connected with your nervous system and are producing the same physical effects emotions do. From information gained from your database your energy is generated through emotions. Thus by feeding you selected emotions you provide me with a near unlimited amount of energy.”
Starfire only smiled in bliss.
“I’m glad you understand.”
Zirk returned to the main room and typed in a few codes. He was overriding all radio and video frequencies. He then began giving humanity their invitation.
“Greetings humanity! I’m glad to see you have survived so well. That you are becoming prosperous and that you would make a fine addition to the galaxy. However, I am sorry to say you have been marked for extermination. You present a great threat to the Irken Empire and must be erased from the universe. Your family and friends mean nothing to me. Do not bother resisting the inevitable. Your world will be crippled one city at a time to my leisure. Humanity is no more, Goodbye for an eternity.”
Zirk ended the transmission and began setting a course for Washington D.C. It would be the first of many cities to be destroyed.
Hopefully those super humans on the ground stay their and do not interfere. In the end it didn’t matter. If they somehow happened to make it here and if they did defeat him, if they shut down the main fusion core the whole station would lose its ability to stay in space. Dooms Invitation was three times the size of the moon. If the core failed, the station would simply crash on earth, destroying almost all life anyway. Almost. Besides destroying it city by city was more fun and thorough.
Zirk sat back and was able to relax for once as the eastern seaboard slowly came into view.
Humanity is no more.
