I do lines sometimes, and sometimes like this I just want to add some flat colors but then it goes overboard and I just make it into full image. I like doing both. I actually like to make things in many different ways. I'm so inconsistent with how I do things D:

i really like how you have sketchy lines, i feel like it adds more depth to the picture, and helps it blend better, especially with different textures, such as skin vs the metal of her head band, it has a nice flow to it. c: 
At least with your art, it still comes out with a similar feel, with mine it's so precise, and has such sharp smooth line work small differences are way more noticeable so it's harder for me to get away with it xD

I got my new tablet, and i just finished a new picture with it! so yes, I'd definitely still want to do that trade now that im used to my new setup c: send me a note about the trade when you want to ^^
