Description
It's been far too long since my last upload.I've been reading more of Alastair Reynolds' stories, and I decided to draw this. In the Revelation Space book series, humanity in the future has settled other planets. They've also been tinkering with cybernetics and the brain, resulting in entirely new factions of humanity. One such faction, the Conjoiners, use neural implants to link their minds together, forming a sort of shared consciousness. Each member retains their individuality, but become, as it's described in the books, "facets in a greater whole". Now, unfortunately, many people have a problem with this, and some even see the Conjoiners as an abomination, so a large group of quote unquote "pure" humans go to war with the Conjoiners. In the end, the Conjoiners just leave the Solar System, and in the process, invent relativistic travel.
It's been stated that a Conjoiner can have from 200 grams of machines in their head, up to a whole kilogram. So, just as your computer needs a heat sink, a Conjoiner needs a cooling crest (that ridgy thing on her head). The crests usually are orangish-pink, with a splay of lights going past (I was too lazy to color it). Conjoiners are, also, bald.

Not many, I just started the series a few months ago. I've read the Galactic North collection, and I'm reading Revelation Space. Unfortunately I'm a rather slow reader, so the series will take me a while.
