Yet another thing I've had lying around in my folders for a while, but haven't had the chance to post until now.
I'm not entirely sure which of these patterns will become cannon? But I find it fun to think about how a fictional creature's genetics would affect what patterns it had, and how those patterns were expressed. Even though I doubt I will ever make devorix adoptables (the species will probably become open once I put together a proper ref for them), I still enjoy putting depth and complexity into this stuff. The rosettes, particularly, while beautiful are quite a complex feature to be controlled neatly by the expression of a single gene- so if any of these patterns are cut, it will probably be that one (unless I choose to delve into a whole range of variation just within that one pattern, as rosettes can look very different on different animals- big cats are a great example of this).
