Description
For the "Fantastical Spectre Challenge" onver atThe story behind Sarah Shepard is this; Sarah is a spacer, her mother Hannah --maiden name Pezzini-- comes from a long line of women who served. Her great, great, great grandmother was an NYPD detective in the early twenty-first century.
During her shore leave on Elysium, the Blitz occured. The Grissom Museum was one of the last strongpoints left standing after hours of fighting. Sarah volunteered to stay behind and give the civilians and their militia escort time to escape. She fully expected to die. And when a batarian shotgun blast overwhelmed her hardsuit's barriers, it looked like she would. However, the blast knocked her into a museum display case that was showing ancient artifacts from Earth. One was an enigmatic gauntlet refered to in historical texts as a "Witchblade". As Sarah lay dying, her lifeblood pouring over the sleek metal of the Witchblade, something awoke, something very old and powerful.
The rest is history.
Now, I'm not all that familiar with Witchblade, to be honest. I picked up a few issues whilst waiting in a comic book store and was immediately drawn in by the story and even moreso by the artistic style, designs and visuals. Granted, it was a very mature comic series, not something for the younguns.
I've been wanting to do this for a while. And let me say; I am very pleased with the result. I haven't actually made "Sarah Shepard" but after this... I kinda have to. I'm already smitten with her.
Doing the details on the Witchblade was very fun. The lighting came off just how I wanted it to. But the hair is what I'm the most pleased with. The gun was kind of an afterthough, so it's not all that accurate.
What's next after this? Probably Liara "Baptiste" T'soni.
And I'm thinking about adding watermarks to my new images, but at this point; I don't see why, seing as no one's been stealing my art, insofar as I know. You'd all tell me if there were, right? Right?
I'll probably be tweaking this a little. And I'm really looking forward to seeing what people think if this, so if you favorite I'd appriciate a comment.

Shepard's already a badass. Add the Witchblade to that, and her enemies stand even less of a chance than before.

Is there someone named Hannah Pezzini in CSI: NY? Also, cool combining ME with Witchblade, even if I know nothing about it.

Lol. I only just recently read the first Witchblade volume; borrowed it from my cousin. (
I wasn't too impressed with the comic story line, but the art was beautiful. )
I was reading the description and I was like "Pezzini... wait haven't I heard that somewhere before? Then it clicked. Lightbulb!

*nose bleeds*
Only problem is that femshep with the witchblade would need to be wearing much fewer clothes. Wait, did I just say that was a problem? *slaps self*

That would not be an outright necessity. When the Witchblade expands over the entire body, yes, clothes often do get shredded. However, skin is only shown when it begins retracting. It hasn't retracted yet.

True, but the comment was just my own wishful thinking.

Yes! It would make sense that the Witchblade would attach itself to badass femShep! Great idea. Good luck with the contest

Awesome concept! I love the way the Witchblade armor looks, with the gold weave underneath.
