Fynn! My Zora FC to the Legend of Zelda series. I really had a hard time finding a name for him and was searching for all kinds of water-related names in different languages, untill I was frustrated and thought "Screw this, I'll just can him Fynn". I know, it's not a very original name for a Zora

However I wanted to draw a Zora for a long time. I wasn't 100% content with the game versions and definitely don't like that they all look alike within a game.
I had that picture in mind for months, but couldn't realize it, because I had to work on my diploma thesis. On the day I handed my diploma work in, I suddenly felt free and started to do all kinds of non-university-related things including this drawing . And I finished it after a few days. Usually I take weeks to do something like this.

Edit: Back then as I drew him, he was kind of some minor character in my Ocarina of Time fictions, but now he has risen to a very import part of it and he may reappear in further fics .
Fynn can be a quite arrogant and proud Zora. He seems quite cold on the outside, but to his selected friends he can be very loyal and nice. But he hardly opens up to anyone for many reasons. He prefers to have time alone and doesn't like crowds although due to his duty he has to be. After his fathers death he became an advisor of King Zora in his fathers stead and is also often sent to the Hylians as an ambassador of the Zora.
Ironically despite his attitude his best friend and love interest is a Hylian girl.
