Careless and capricious, Aelius seems to live in the moment, Drifting here and there, he gives the appearance of one without worry. You need a yes-man? He’s right here, ready to smile and nod along with whatever you have to say. Sure, there might be a few under-hand jabs, but nothing he really means, honest! Inconsistency is his new middle name as he spins stories out of nothing - and if those stories include you? Well, it’s up to you to say no, isn’t it?

Despite claiming to have lost all his memories, he doesn’t seem much fussed about reclaiming them - but if offered assistance, will absolutely take it. He’s a sucker for company, good or bad, and tends to get somewhat despondent when alone.

Who was he again?

The first thing he remembered was blinking at the ceiling of a moving train. The pillow was soft, the blankets warm, and beside him, in the cubby holes, were journals and notebooks that would tell him who he was.

Aelius Lacemaker, age nineteen and upon the Pelagius Express, a travelling school for magicians of all kinds. He himself was apparently the child of two magicians - performers at a circus to be exact. What a circus was exactly, he wasn’t sure, but he knows what a performer is - also what popcorn is! How wonderful.

Apparently, he had boarded the train with ideas of improving his magic, of becoming more easily noticeable. Apparently, things had been rather tough; there were all sorts of beings on this train, and they’d had all sorts of strange and uncomfortable adventures. Apparently, he’d started to lose his memory in the last year or so - it’d been invisible at first, the forgetting of small things, before it had escalated, and the pages of the journals had become filled with half-remembered memories, snatches of moments put out of time and out of order.

Apparently, he had been quite desperate to get these memories back.

But hey - were they really so important? What better than to live in the moment and just take things as they go - if these memories were so important, they’ll come back on their own. For now, he’ll live as he pleases and indulge in this brand new world.

Has white pupils.
He doesn’t like it, but he does carry his crossbow on him at all times. He can also shoot with most ranged weapons, something that discomforts him slightly.
Likes high places; the higher, the better, and will do the climb for them despite his clothing.
Keeps finding bells in his stuff. Doesn’t know why.
Is a-ok with being a dressup doll! Is a-ok with a lot of things tbh.
