hey! long time no see, eh?

it's been about 5 years since i last posted here. i was 13 & in 8th grade then, and i feel as though i've grown a lot as a person in those 5 years.

that's besides the point, though, the point is i'm 18 years old and spending the latter half of my 18th year completely quarantined (aside from solo walks thru the woods). it's been well over a month since i hung out with my two best friends in person, and as much as we hate the separation, we know it's for the best. for the past like... i want to say 3 weeks or so we've been making an effort to call each other every night. we don't usually speak much, but the three of us just love each other so much and it's nice to know that we're there for each other if one of us needs something.

i'm pennsylvanian, and governor wolf has a target date of may 8th to lift stay-at-home orders and to gradually begin to re-open the state. while i do hope that i can see my two favorite humans by that point, i do understand the importance of extending the stay-at-home orders and business closures if there's no clear decline in cases. i'll just wait it out until they say it's safe.

for the rest of you, please continue to stay safe and keep social distancing if you need to go out, and ideally stay at home/stay solo if you're outside as much as you can help, it's really for the best and will hopefully help to slow the spread of this disease enough so that we can get some semblance of a summer.
