A Hymn At Cavalry

Years I spent in vanity and pride,
Caring not my Lord was crucified,
Knowing not it was for me He died on Calvary.

Mercy there was great, and grace was free;
Pardon there was multiplied to me;
There my burdened soul found liberty at Calvary.

By God’s Word at last my sin I learned;
Then I trembled at the law I’d spurned,
Till my guilty soul imploring turned to Calvary.

This was an order from Khalie. She asked for a horse bowing at crosses & for the picture to portray happiness. While I didn't make more than one cross, I thought that an earthy-made looking cross would make for a lovely spin. The lyrics were provided by her as well for inspiration! I redid the mane/tail two or three times messing with settings and hair textures, this turned out to be the best choice. I spent some good time on the little details, painted the wooded cross and the tiny vines on it. Also, the bird is carrying a piece of string that is holding the cross together (if you look close enough). I really hope I executed this picture to your liking, Khalie. Thank you for the opportunity, and the inspiration!

What I like: I'm getting better at lighting I think! The more I do, the better i get so i'll just keep at it. I also enjoyed painting the cross, though it took a few tries!

What I don't Like: I'd still like to work on hair.
