yeah i know, but the small one has the full image with proper level/balance- and i'm not sure how to upload 2 images into a deviation to have the widescreen chopped big one as the download and the small one as the in-deviant art browser view...

Oh.

Well you put both pics in a zip file. Upload that first, then you will see the submit page ask you for a preview image. You then pick the one you want and upload that as the preview.

They see the pic, but when they click download, they get the zip with all the files in it.

i see, totally a way of doing it then...

i also kinda wanted to have a little experiment too- to see which one makes it in my most popular-
my wallpapers because they are submitted to the hd/wallpaper category usually get thousands more views than my regularly submitted photos-
so this is an unbiased test-
same picture, different category submissions-
lets see which one becomes more seen/popular.
I predict that even though the wallpaper image is cut and not the full balance of the original- and even though the original is submitted to all kinds of groups- it still gets less views than the wallpaper one

I could tell you that easy.

Wallpaper get more views. I post wallpaper sized photos and fractals and then odd sized of both things, and the wallpaper sized ones get more views hands down.

But enjoy your experiment.
