A [rough draft of a] gift for ~Carnatic . I've loved his stuff since the very early sketches he produced quite some time ago. I particularly like the way in which he describes inflation, in both text and images. The verbal sound effects in his images have always been a favorite feature of mine. This particular sketch is an illustration of his story Bursting With Gossip [link] , one of my favorites of his. Apologies for the crappiness of the rough, I recently lost my scanner and am waiting on the new one.Related content

I'm glad you noticed!
I've found that, while colored images are good, the roughs often contain minute details that are difficult [for me] to replicate properly in the final form. I think I most regret not being able to properly color her partially open blouse in the colored form. Given the methods I use to color, that section would have been a huge pain, but I still think I should have done it v_v

I like the way you post these up too, the rough sketch has it's own merits, such as detail which wasn't carried through to the final coloured version
