Description Rummaging through my old black & white pics i took some time last year in 2002, I came across this pretty metallic shot of KLCC. I shot it on Kodak TC400 B&W film, and it was developed with C-41 chemicals on the machine, so it didn't quite come out as B&W as I would have liked. So I scanned the print as a colour photo, desaturated the image in Photoshop, adjusted the levels and contrast and also coloured the shot with a slight bluish tinge. And here it is, not looking too shabby

A closer view of one of the KLCC towers, with me looking up, hence the tapering effect. would've loved to get it straight-on but I guess I didn't try that day and I don't know if I would have been able to achieve that from where I stood... probably needed to be much higher up and I think I wouldnt have gotten than many floors in. So here's a monochromish skyscraper architecture shot after some historically colourful Malacca photos!

Camera: Canon EOS 300
Film: Kodak TC-400 B&W film
Settings: Goodness knows, I was probably on P-Mode for that day
Photoshop: Desaturation, levels, contrast, simple border, almostnottherewatermark

hey there, i took a look at the other klcc shot -- the one which features a dark background and the klcc upclose.

u certainly take unconventional steps for these photographs. kudos kudos.

really, something that is different is indeed refreshing and becomes an eye-candy straightaway. great concept, great shot.

I think it turned out looking really great. As everyone has been saying the lines and curves are really eye catching and I really like the way that it is tilted in the framing. Thanks for the description as well. It is interesting the way you gave an old black and white photo new life.

Must confess I'm a bit sick of the usual raft of 'here's a skyscraper' shots on dA, but there's something about this one that catches the eye.

In particular, I love the way you've captured the light against the facets of the building, this any the neat composition really help to put this at the top of the (admittedly rather large) pile of skyscraper shots.

Nice job.
