Both once worked with American military services, where they were enhanced by a special experimental serum that improved their mental and physical prowess. Both have similar military-grade arsenals of weaponry and are skilled in numerous forms of combat due to their experience, and both usually serve as villains feared for being able to take on multiple heroes at once, but have also served as allies or morally grey warriors from time to time, as have their daughters.

Even though Slade had a good enough episode that I'd be fine with him not returning, this matchup's growing on me quite a bit.
