Red-clad, down-to-earth musclemen from iconic Disney movies. Both wanted recognition as heroes after years of the people surrounding them unjustly treating them poorly. Both would go on plenty of risky adventures revolving around this desire, and they would eventually earn the people's trust after performing a brave act that saved a bunch of people, but could've gotten them killed. They've also felt left out at one point due to their closest female partner's accomplishments, which they would soon move past and help them accomplish their goals in the end.

Here's another animated movie matchup that I'm quite fond of. Helps that these two were a huge part of my childhood.
