Burrowing through piles of old stuff, came across some video of my very first real animation work, back when I attended classes for the subject.

This is actually my third class project, your basic wave cycle, first-semester-type stuff. The trick is that the waveform moves laterally while the subject matter is positioned relative to the surface of the wave.

You can see I got cocky and tried to add a flying bird into the background, with the end result being that I proved how much I still didn't know about what the hell I was doing. But hey... we all gotta start somwhere.

Pencil on animation bond, originally shot with a camera, formatted to Quicktime, eventually converted down to a GIF for your amusement. I cannot for the life of me recall exactly when I did this, but I believe it was around late 98-99.
