Killed by a scheduling conflict, poor bastard. Really, did you think this was going to end well?Actually, I just needed to cap this off, since a whole shitload of work has dropped on my head from every angle. This new year is certainly starting off fast. Got a Kenzer contract, a whole ton of stuff with HTF, and I agreed to actually prove I can produce some comics work, accepting a challenge from some Penciljack brothers to produce at least five pages of Bibliotech before Valentine's Day. Yowza, things to do...
Created in Easytoon, for those who might have missed the WIP version. There's a variety of things I should fix, but that's the point of practice. Notably, the wall and his unfortunate demise should probably be more rythmic... for a great scene of someone being chewed by gunfire, reference the early scenes of Otomo's Akira. This is probably not the last of my expiriments in quick-n-fast Easytoon animation... and who's to say what may happen to this guy? After all, how many times did Aeon Flux bite the dirt?
But if it makes you feel any better, we can say he was a bad guy. He probaby was beating up babies or something and on the run for it. Yeah....

In response to the frequently asked question, this took about 6 cumulative hours of work... it's hard to say, exactly, since I didn't work on it all in one stretch but rather in little chunks between working on the things I SHOULD have been doing, over the space of two workdays. If I was to do it all at one sitting, actually, and planned out properly (as in, not making it up as I go) then it probably would have taken less time than that.

Not based on anything in particular, it's oversized like a firefighter's coat but with a deep hood like a rain jacket. Mostly I just wanted sleeves big enough to hide the guns in.

this is more dope to the power of umph, the only thing that i didn't like was that it was a little short and he died kinda early. i'm sure if you had more time you would slide more action cliches and jokes before you killed him

Easytoon is a bitmap GIF animation program, very basic stuff. It's most effective when used along with a tablet... it's not capable of advanced content, but for just basic practice like this it's not bad.

Hehe I have do disagree with ya: I think it looks great. I think he doing the "Fuck you and your little dog too" was funny, taunting his assulters. Surprised me that he got gunned down. Was unexpected. I should of noticed the bullet hits when he sprang out from the conveniontly (sp?) placed wall. Of course I was watching him the entire time, since guys dressed of this fashon I have a liking for. So it explains my distracton.
Great work piece alltogether. IMO, it came out great.

Don't skimp on frames, and practice drawing as well as animation a lot. Good animation (hand-drawn, at least) is dependant on good illustration skills. And realise that there are no limitations to what you can do... if you can draw it, you can make it move.
