They had started off rather stiff…
And awkward.

Then in a weak or so, it was as if they had suddenly remembered how to be a bird.
Fallen into their natural roles.

Scaring the living members of their species out of their wits.

People couldn’t decide if this was more or less creepy.
Scientists were still scrambling to understand any of it.
Without any conceivable conclusion in sight.

Ravens and other carrion birds had flocked around them.
Because after all, they were dead.

This seemed logical enough.

Until you realise that a carrion bird is also a bird.
Carrion birds die too.

And so started the confusion.

A flock of ravens following a flying skeleton.
And one of the ravens being a skeleton it self.

How this made sense to the ravens was a mystery.
